Team Principal Alessandro Mariani commented: “The rain spoiled the first day, but on Thursday we completed many laps and tested different set up solutions. We were not looking for performance, but as soon as Gabriele was given new tyres, he was also able to clock good lap times. We have improved significantly from our previous test here.”
The team will test again at Portimão.
“We have two priorities before shipping the car to Japan: keeping on with the technical development and giving Tiago Monteiro the opportunity to get used to the car in view of the races at Suzuka, Shanghai and Macau," added Mariani.
"In the Portuguese test Gabriele will be at the wheel on day one working on the technical choices, while Monteiro will take over on the second day to drive as more kilometres as possible.”
