Leeds half-back Danny McGuire has been granted a testimonial by the Rugby Football League.
The 29-year-old, who has been ruled out of the Challenge Cup final on Saturday week with a knee injury, joined Leeds when he was 13 and has gone on to score 220 tries for the club.
As a result, he is the joint leading scorer in the history of the Super League, while he has won five Super League titles with the club. The testimonial will start from September 1 and will run for a year.
"It is a huge privilege for me to be granted a testimonial by the RFL and I would like to thank them for that," McGuire said.
"Testimonials are still invaluable to players in our sport. We won't be able to retire when we finish playing like footballers."
