Mutu, 33, joined the French club on a two-year deal this summer and promptly boasted that he will score more goals than PSG striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Controversy has always followed the Romanian forward, who has twice been banned for failing drugs tests in his career - once for taking cocaine during a spell with Chelsea and again when testing positive for anti-obesity drug sibutramine while a Fiorentina player.
However, the man who has scored 103 goals in Serie A is now keen to impress in France in the final years of his career.
"I don’t hear a lot about what people are saying about me," Mutu told Ligue 1's official website.
"Of course people are right if they say my career is finishing, because I’m almost 34 years old and I’m not going to play forever.
"But when I play I’m going to try to play at my best. So this is for sure a huge motivation for me: to finish my career at a high level."
