Li took the first gold of the Championships in the ladies’ 1500m edging out Chinese team-mate Liu Qiuhong to top the podium in a time of 2:23.217 minutes on home soil.
Canadian Marie-Eve Drolet completed the podium in third over half a second shy of Liu in 2:23.474 while Noh lead home a Korean one-two-three in the men’s 1500m in China.
He clocked 2:15.661 to take gold with Kwak Yoon-Gy second 0.094 seconds behind for silver while Sin Da Woon was a 0.106 further back to deny Canadian Charles Hamelin bronze.
Neither final involved a Brit with Elise Christie progressing furthest out of the four in action in China – however she was penalised in the second of two ladies’ 1500m semi-finals.
Christie had earlier looked good in winning her heat while Charlotte Gilmartin was fourth in hers and didn’t progress with Jack Whelbourne and Richard Shoebridge falling at the same stage in the men’s.
