Oldham youngster Glenn Belezika has signed his first professional deal with the npower League One club.
The 18-year-old defender has put pen to paper on a one-year deal, with the Latics retaining the option for a further 12 months.
He told Oldham's official website: "It's a dream come true and I am delighted to have signed, but I am not going to let it go to my head as it is just the start."
A significant number of injuries to key players at Boundary Park in recent months have allowed Belezika to work his way into the first-team picture and the centre-back made his debut in the Easter Monday defeat at Sheffield Wednesday.
He added: "My mum keeps telling me it is not where you start but where it ends and I want to be talking about my career aged 28, 29.
"It has been a good start, but it is nothing more than that at this stage."
