    Ottl leaves Hertha for Augsburg

Former Bayern Munich midfielder Andreas Ottl has left relegated Hertha Berlin for Bundesliga survivors Augsburg.

Ottl, 27, was released after Berlin lost a relegation play-off to Fortuna Dusseldorf at the end of the season.

Born in Munich, Ottl came through the ranks at Bayern, making over 100 appearances in all competitions before falling out of favour.

After spending half the 2009-10 season on loan at Nuremberg, he moved to Berlin, where he spent just one season before his release.

Ottl earned four Germany U21 caps but never featured for the senior team.

Augsburg were expected to struggle last season but they managed to stay up ahead of Berlin, who slid into the final relegation play-off spot on the final day.
