The Olympic Stadium is surrounded by beautiful flowers.

The Aquatics Centre features two of these 'wings', each holding 7000 spectators.

Visitors to the park can watch the action on the giant screens in the Park Live area.

Paths around the site can get busy. This is a quiet time.

The parkland leading up to the Velodrome has been beautifully landscaped.

View up to the Riverbank Arena (hockey). The large white building is the broadcast centre.

There are dozens and dozens of tables and chairs in the Orbit Circus area.

One of the striking McDonald's buildings. The queue here is for 'recycled' tickets.

£15 tickets to go up Anish Kapoor's controversial Orbit tower sold out weeks ago.

You need a ticket just to get into the park – and it's still very, very busy at times.

The Orbit tower gives a great view of East London. In the distance is Canary Wharf.

Flowers around the site appear to have bloomed at just the right time.

You get a (sadly obstructed) view into the stadium from the top of the Orbit.

There are many irresistible photo opportunities around the park.

This park area is hidden around the 'back' of the stadium to the west.

Getting in and out of the park has proved painless for the most part.

Security outside the park has been extremely well managed.

To St Pancras in 7min - the Javelin train is the quickest way into central London.
