Portsmouth have signed Burnley defender Kevin Long on an emergency 28-day loan.
The Republic of Ireland Under-21 international, who is 22 on Saturday, will go straight into their squad for the npower League One opener against Bournemouth at Fratton Park.
Long has had two loan spells at Accrington and also spent time at Rochdale last season having joined the Clarets from Cork in 2010.
