    Ski Jumping - Romoeren tops qualifying

    Norwegian Bjoern Einar Romoeren topped qualifying for the individual ski flying World Cup event in Planica, Slovenia.

    The former world record holder set a distance of 221.5 metres on the hill at Kranjska Gora to earn 204.7 points in sunny conditions.

    Australian Andreas Kofler was second ahead of Lukas Hlava of Czech Republic.

    Gregor Schlierenzauer and Martin Koch, who had very good jumps in training, decided to skip qualifying ahead of the final three days of competition this season.
