    Royals role for Gifford

Former England and Worcestershire bowler Norman Gifford has rejoined the Royals as a part-time spin-bowling coach.

Gifford, 71, who played in 15 Tests and two one-day internationals for England between 1964 and 1973, led Worcestershire to the 1974 County Championship title during a nine-year spell as captain.

Worcestershire director of cricket Steve Rhodes said: "We have enrolled the services of Norman to help out with our spin bowlers and he has been brilliant since joining us."

Gifford, who took 2,068 first-class wickets, is working with England Lions all-rounder Moeen Ali, Shaaiq Choudhry and Brett D'Oliveira.
