The 23-year-old back rower, who is the nephew of former Bradford and Great Britain forward Karl Fairbank, will bolster the Bulls pack following the loss of Manase Manuokafoa for up to seven weeks with a fractured thumb.
"He couldn't get in at Huddersfield but there is an opportunity for him here to come and do a great job for us, then force his way back in there or get an opportunity here or somewhere else," said Bradford coach Francis Cummins.
"He certainly comes from a great rugby league family and his uncle Karl was an absolute legend here at Bradford."
Bradford also have injury doubts over Adam Sidlow and Jamie Langley for the trip to the Salford City Stadium.
Fairbank is under contract at the Giants until the end of 2015 but has made only four appearances so far this season.
