Kirke rejected the chance to move to Wakefield in the close season and is delighted to extend his stay at Headingley, saying: "I had no intentions to leave the club because I am very happy with life at the Rhinos, so to get a new contract is brilliant. Leeds coach Brian McDermott added: "Ian is an integral part of our squad. Every successful team needs players who have the attributes that Ian brings to our team."
