The 32-year-old has made 35 appearances for Wakefield since joining them from Huddersfield 18 months ago and says it was an easy decision to extend his stay.
"I'm still enjoying it and want to be playing well for Wakefield," he said. "I'm more than happy to sign again."
Wakefield coach Richard Agar said: "Andy was very consistent last year and we feel he is getting back to his best.
"His experience and consistency has been a strong asset to us in his time here and we're glad to have that for another season."
