Doncaster chairman John Ryan has been fined by the Football Association after being found guilty of misconduct over comments he made about referee Mick Russell.
Ryan requested a personal hearing to contest the charge, which related to an interview broadcast by Sky Sports and published on the BBC and Yorkshire Post websites.
Following a dramatic 4-3 defeat at home to Portsmouth, which saw Rovers relegated from the npower Championship, Ryan said: "I thought the officials were an absolute disgrace.
"I thought it was a clear handball for the third goal and a clear handball for the fourth goal. The first penalty I thought was outside the box. I'm absolutely sickened to the core about the standard of refereeing."
However, the FA have decided to fine Ryan £3,000 plus costs in addition to handing him a warning over his future conduct.
