Bild claims that La Viola are in pole position for the Germany striker, although no deal yet exists between the two sides.
And the 27-year-old's agent Uli Ferber told Sport1 that the report was unfounded.
"That's not true," he said when asked.
However, Ferber did admit that Gomez's days at the Allianz look numbered, and that he is monitoring interest from numerous suitors.
"It's not going to be a major assignment (finding a new club)," he said.
"But one thing is for sure - he will only go to a club where he will be a first-choice striker."
Gomez has also been heavily linked with a possible move to Serie A giants Napoli.
The Tuscans are set to change their attacking line-up next season as Stevan Jovetic has requested a transfer.
La Viola are ready to sell the Juventus target, although they continue to maintain that they will only accept a €30m cash offer for him.
