Huddersfield striker Jimmy Spencer has agreed a new one-year contract extension to keep him at the club until summer 2014.
The academy graduate's current deal was due to expire at the end of the current season before putting pen to paper on Wednesday morning.
Spencer featured heavily in Town's pre-season schedule and is now aiming for a place in Simon Grayson's starting XI.
"The new deal gives me reassurance about my future," Spencer told the club's official website.
"I wanted to stay at Huddersfield Town and I am delighted that a longer deal has been sorted.
"I have enjoyed pre-season and I am delighted that I have been involved in the manager's plans for the opening few games."
