Olympic super-fan Charlotte Cullen is set to travel to Russia to volunteer at next year's Winter Olympic Games in Sochi.
The Briton was approached by Sochi's organisers while she was working as one of the 'Games Makers' at London 2012, and offered the opportunity to take up a similar role at the first Winter Games to be held in Russia.
Although accommodation will be provided by the Russian Olympic Committee, Charlotte will pay for her own flights to Sochi and is pledging to learn Russian in an effort to enhance her communication skills further.
Part of Charlotte's role in Sochi will be acting as a National Olympic Committee Assistant. In London, this involved working alongside Poland's Olympic team and helping them through the opening and closing ceremonies.
With one year until the Games begin, the Sochi 2014 Organising Committee has so far received more than 160,000 applications from would-be volunteers.
Charlotte, who cites figure skating and ski jumping as her favourite winter sports, told Sky's Celina Hinchcliffe that her love of the Winter Olympics was sparked by watching the Games in Turin in 2006.
She will travel to Sochi next January, ahead of the Games' opening ceremony on 7th February 2014.
