Swindon chairman Jeremy Wray will meet with Leon Clarke this week to decide where the striker's future lies.
Clarke has been out on loan with Chesterfield after a spat with manager Paolo Di Canio earlier in the season. Di Canio has made it clear that Clarke does not remain part of his future plans which could pave the way for him to exit the County Ground this January.
"From both his point of view and ours it is important we get his situation sorted out as quickly as possible," Wray told the Swindon Advertiser.
"I will speak with him and his agent this week. We have had interest from a range of clubs, so we will weigh up the pros and cons of potential moves and try to get something sorted."
