Team news: Charlton skipper misses out

The midfielder has had a scan on the Achilles injury which forced him to sit out against Yeovil in midweek and will probably be sidelined for another fortnight.

He could be replaced on the left of midfield by winger Lee Cook, who is in line to make his debut after joining on loan from QPR earlier this week.

However, Dany N'Guessan will hope to get the nod after a debut goal against Yeovil following his loan switch from Millwall.

Striker Danny Haynes is still missing with a hamstring injury.

Leon Cort may keep his place in defence after being handed a rare start in Tuesday's resounding 3-0 win.

Huddersfield defender Calum Woods is expected to return to contention for the home clash with Charlton.

Woods missed the midweek win at Chesterfield after banging his knee and was replaced in the starting line-up by Tom Clarke, but returned to full training on Thursday.

Tommy Miller is not yet ready to return as he continues his recovery from a double hernia operation and fellow midfielder Damien Johnson remains sidelined with a torn hamstring.

Another midfielder, Oscar Gobern, is still doubtful after missing the last four games with hamstring and back trouble.

Striker Kallum Higginbotham has joined Barnsley on loan until the end of the season, while Diego Arismendi is pushing for his first start after making two substitute appearances since arriving on loan from Stoke.

Town, five points behind second-placed Sheffield United with a game in hand, are unbeaten in their last seven matches.
