Elsewhere in Group C, Okay Yokuslu grabbed a brilliant late winner to ensure Turkey beat Australia 2-1 to secure qualification for the last-16.
The Australians were the better team for much of the encounter and took a deserved lead through a Jamie MacLean strike with 52 minutes gone.
But Hakan Calhanoglu restored parity two minutes later before Yokuslu won the match in the 87th minute.
In Group D, Mexico have an outside chance of qualification for the last 16 following their first win of the tournament – a 4-1 mauling of Mali.
Marco Bueno and Jesus Corona gave the Mexicans a two goal advantage inside the opening quarter of an hour but the Malians weathered the storm and cut the arrears through Samba Diallo with 62 minutes gone.
Jesus Escoboza reopened a two goal advantage for the Central Americans just seven minutes later before Uvaldo Luna added a fourth four minutes from time.
Greece and Paraguay progressed from Group D following a 1-1 draw that left them with identical records.
The South Americans had to come from behind having been reduced to ten men.
Dimitrios Diamantakos headed the Greeks into the lead on 68 minutes after the Paraguayan captain Gustavo Gomez had been sent off with 24 minutes gone.
But Paraguay were level within five minutes of falling behind through a tremendous Brian Montenegro overhead kick and that's how it stayed for both sides to qualify.
