Wolves start is no Henn party

Wolves goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey admits his side face a tough start with a trip to Leeds on the opening day of the 2012/13 season.

New manager Stale Solbakken will take charge of his first competitive game for Wolves at Elland Road on August 18, with home games against Barnsley (August 21) and Derby (August 25) to follow.

"Leeds at Elland Road isn't the easiest of starts and our next away games after that are at Cardiff and Ipswich, so it will be tough for the lads," Henessey, who will miss the start of the new season after undergoing cruciate knee surgery two months ago, told the club's official website.

"But I suppose you have to play all of the teams twice so you may as well get some of the more difficult games out of the way to begin with."

Hennessey added: "For me personally, knowing that I won't be involved to start with will be a bit difficult to take. But I'll just have to be patient.

"It's been going well, but I'm taking things stage by stage. I'll know when I'm ready to come back."
