Wood was penalised by referee Richard Silverwood for the punch on Rhinos centre Carl Ablett during the first half of the Wolves' 35-18 victory at Wembley and was charged by the Rugby Football League's match-review panel with a grade A offence, which carries a punishment of up to a one-match ban.
The player avoided any suspension after admitting the offence but has now lost the right to submit another early-guilty plea in the next 12 months.
