Wozniacki has struggled in 2012 by the standards of previous years, but needed just 70 minutes against the sixth seed to book her place in the semi-finals at Yale.
New Haven has been a happy hunting ground for Wozniacki in the past - the Dane has yet to lose in 20 singles matches here - and she will next face Maria Kirilenko for a final place.
Seventh seed Kirilenko was in equally clinical touch to blast past Olga Govortsova 6-1 6-2. Both players had seen their second-round opponents forced into abandonments.
In the other half of the draw, Sara Errani beat Marion Bartoli to set up a semi-final against Petra Kvitova, who downed Lucie Safarova.
Fourth seed Errani was comfortable in her 6-4 6-2 win over Bartoli, seeded fifth, while Kvitova, the second seed, was equally convincing with a 6-3 6-3 victory over eighth seed Safarova.
