The wild race was punctuated with two stoppages after a number of cars crashed on separate occasions.
Chaos erupted on the first corner as Norbert Michelisz clipped Tom Chilton before bouncing off the outside wall and into the oncoming pack. Seven cars were involved in the crash and were subsequently ruled out.
Following the restart, the race settled down with Tom Coronel taking the lead – followed by a chasing pack.
Tom Chiton soon had to retire with exhaust damage and was hit by Eurico de Jesus, who span on the track and was ruled out.
Coronel remained in front but Huff picked up his pace, overtaking James Thompson and the Dutchman to take a lead of which he maintained.
