Jess Walker Biography
Jessica Walker will be part of a K4 Spring Kayak team that will have a strong chance of medalling for Team GB at London 2012. The youngest female flatwater canoeist to be selected for an Olympic Games when she went to Beijing, the now 22-year-old has developed into a top performer on the world stage. Medals on both the World and European stage as a junior saw Walker fast-tracked into the senior squad, although she was the youngest in the British female squad at the Beijing Olympics by a decade and admitted to feeling uncomfortable about her selection. A bronze medal at the 2010 World Cup effectively sealed her place as a major part of the British set-up. Britain are strong in the event, but will face difficult challenges in the shape of teams from Australia, Hungary and Germany.
