Tiana Coudray Biography
Coudray has been riding since third grade, but her career as an Irish dancer prevented her from joining the competitive eventing scene until 2003. Her major success at the lower and advanced levels led to Coudray winning the USEA Young Rider of the Year an unprecedented three times with multiple mounts. Coudray brought her young horse Ringwood Magister onto the upper level in 2008, and the pair saw immediate success. Coudray will be riding on Ringwood Magister for the 2012 Games, and should be comfortable with a horse that she has tons of experience with. Coudray has placed fourth or higher nine times with Ringwood Magister, including victories at the advanced level of the Ram Tap Horse Trial in 2009, the CIC3* at Galway Downs in 2010, and in the Advanced A class at the Twin Rivers Winter Horse Trial in 2011. She also has won the CIC1* division with Regal Promise. Coudray and Ringwood Magister have been based in England for over a year, and her latest race with Ringwood Magister came in June when they finished fifth at the Barbury Castle Horse Trials CIC* event where they were the highest- placed American pair.
