Katelyn Falgowski Biography
Falgowski's trip to London will be an emotional one after a difficult two years. In the fall of 2010, she suffered a concussion during an intrasquad scrimmage while at North Carolina. She suffered effects long after and would redshirt that season. Making up for lost time, Falgowski has come back strong. She captained the Tar Heels to an NCAA title game berth in 2011 and was named player of the tournament. She was also nominated as the International Field Hockey young player of the year for 2011. In 2003, Falgowski was the youngest player to be named to the U.S. Under-21 team at age 14. Two years later she was named to the senior national team. Falgowski has over 100 international caps in her career. This will be her second trip to the Olympics.
