Rob Crane Biography
Crane will be participating in his first Olympics in 2012 and has been a member of the U.S. sailing team since 2010. He finished 14th at the 2011 world championships in the Laser division, though he only sailed part-time while in high school. Despite his limited practice, Crane still shined in competion before sailing year-round while at Hobart College. Upon graduating in 2009, the 25-year-old began sailing full-time and has competed in three Laser world championship events. Crane is from Stamford, Conn., where both his parents were involved in competitive sailing.
