Giovanni Pellielo Biography
Pellielo has won medals in each of the last three Olympics but is still searching for his first gold. The Italian trap shooter won a silver in Beijing - his fifth appearance in the Games - as he finished three targets shy of David Kostelecky's Olympic record total of 146. Pellielo also won a silver in Athens and a bronze in Sydney. He finished 13th in 1996 and was 10th in 1992 in the mixed trap, an event that's no longer held. Pellielo also has three world championships to his name - the most recent in 1998 - and has finished second twice. He's won gold at the World Cup finals seven times with four runner-up showings.
