Melissa Seidemann Biography
This will be the first Olympics for Seidemann, who plays collegiately for Stanford and helped lead the Cardinal to the 2011 NCAA championship. While her primary position is defender for the national team, she is also capable of playing center and led Stanford with 59 goals as a true freshman in 2010. Seidemann has also been a strong presence on Team USA since 2010. She enjoyed one of her best international performances at the 2011 Pan American Games, placing third on the team with 11 goals to help the US win gold and clinch an Olympic berth for London. Seidemann scored six goals at the 2012 FINA World League Super Final.
