MEAD, Wash. -- Thursday was a special day for a group of students in the Mead School District.

They had a chance to compete at a development Olympics event.

Eleven years ago, the Mead School District saw a need to host an event for its special education students.  So, the district created the Development Olympics.

The district psychologist works with students who live with disabilities like autism and downs syndrome.
