    • 80' Hooter goes and NZ win 27-6. Great effort from Italy, who controlled territory and had decent possession. NZ will be disappointed. Dominated scoreboard but that's just about it. More questions than answers ahead of the firt Bledisloe Cup match on July 18. Thanks for joining us.
    • 79' Nice step from McAlister launches attack deep into Italy 22. Rokocoko continues move, Weeput makes a dart but is held up short before NZ concede penalty and Italy clear their lines. Nice tackle Gower on Weepu.
    • 77' NZ concede free kicks for failing to throw in. Italy set up position for Burton drop goal but again it fades just wide.
    • 76' NZ trying to finish on the front foot but face solid Italy defence, as they have all evening. McAlister opts to try and chip over but Toniolatti reads it well and finds touch just outside NZ 22.

    • 49 NZ freekick from scrum in their 22, McAlister puts up high ball but McLean takes it well and sets up Italy ruck. Lovely tackle Gower on Rokocoko. Ross put clear on left wing but crunched by Bortolami. NZ retain possession and spin ball to left wing.
    • 49' Italy taking advantage of NZ errors and keeping them pinned in their own half. NZ getting frustrated as their efforts to run ball from deep come to nothing. NZ look like ready to make some replacements.
    • 44' NZ try to run out of defence and make room for Muliaina on the left. But Italy force touch and again kick down to NZ 22 after winning lineout.
    • 44' Parisse and Ghiraldini combine well and hooker makes nice burst into NZ 22. Italy taking game to NZ and forcing home side into making tackles. Parisse tries drop goal but half charged down.
    • 42' NZ spill ball and after passage of kicking Tebaldi finds superb touch a metre from NZ try-line. Thorn takes clean catch and Leonard clears to 22.

    • 40' NZ spin it one last time and Masaga bursts through in midfield, but Kaino clearly takes out Italy defender and ref awards tourists penalty. Italy kick for touch and NZ lead 13-3 at half-time. Scratchy by the All Blacks but credit to Italy for making life tough for the home side.
    • 39' Good direction from McLean but again it falls short. Missed chance, though it was from some distance.
    • 36' Read pulls down Italy lineout jumper and Italy kick to touch in NZ half. Can Azzurri get more points on the board before half time? Thorn goes over top and McLean has another chance on goal.
    • 36' Italy midfield up very quick in defence so Muliana puts his head down and bursts through gap after nice pick and drive from Mealamu. But Kiwis called back for forward pass and concede penalty from scrum for Afoa pushing at an angle.
    • 33' Lovely move by Italy from lineout. Gower, Parisse and Bergamasco brothers at speed carry ball into NZ 22, before Nonu concedes penalty in front of posts. McLean on target to cut NZ lead to 13-3.
    • 31' Italy defence good at the moment, forcing NZ into spilling ball as they try to run ball. Masaga comes off his wing but is superbly tackled by Garcia in midfield. Garcia starting to look like a decent international centre.
    • 25' Parisse offside at ruck and McAlister has long chance to extend NZ lead. Unlucky for italy skipper but NZ starting to find their rhythm. McAlister on target from about 55m and NZ lead 13-0.
    • 24' McAlister nails conversion beautifully from touchline to make it 10-0.
    • 23' NZ pinch Italy throw after McAlister finds good touch. McAlister sends over cross kick, Rokocoko claims the ball and does well to fend off a couple of tacklers before crashing over. 8-0 NZ. More like it from the All Blacks.
    • 22' NZ really not playing as we expect an All Black side to do so. On this showing they are going to struggle badly in the Tri-Nations! Certainly can't see Springboks too worried by this lot, though obviously Carter and McCaw will improve them when they return.
    • 21' NZ overthrow and Tebaldi kicks deep into NZ 22. Masaga tries to run from deep and does well to break first couple of tackles. Kaino pinged for offside and McLean has chance to level the scores from about 50m, but his effort comes up just short.
    • 19' NZ counter through Muliaina and make rare foray into Italy half. But Italy force turnover and kick downfield. Parisse hacks on loose ball but Gower offside and NZ have another penalty, which McAlister kicks to Italy 22.
    • 17' Zani snaps up loose ball and leads charge into NZ 22. Perugini up well in support but Italy unable to take advantage of options out wide after loop between Gower and Parisse fails to come off.
    • 15' McAlister overcooks his high ball and NZ called back for lineout after kick goes directly into touch. McAlister looking a tad rusty today. Not sure fly-half his best position.
    • 13' Decent touch finder from Gower pushes NZ back into their 22. Gower giving Italy a few options and at securing them some good territory.
    • 11' NZ run ball from defence and spin ball wide to Rokocoko on left wing, but the Kiwi is tackled into touch by Robertson. Italy win lineout and Gower puts up another high ball. Muliaina takes kick and NZ launch counter, only to be called back for forward pass. Garcia again look good in defence.
    • 9' McAlister misses touch with penalty, but Italy reply allows ABs to launch attack in midfield through McAlister. ABs spill ball but Italy offside after spilling ball in tackle, allowing McAlister first shot on goal. McAlister on target and NZ lead 3-0.
    • 6' Very loose so far from All Blacks who sgould look to get a better platform before chucking the ball around.
    • 5' McAlister sends over little chip for Muliaina. Full-back wins race for the ball but knocks on and hands Italy another scrum.
    • 4' NZ pushed back into their 22. Rokocoko tries to run out of defence but is well tackled by Garcia. McAlister fails to find touch, Gower puts up high ball and Italy concede penalty for Bergamasco tackling Muliaina in the air. But good pressure by Italy, who are enjoying some early territory.
    • 1' Italy kick off and earn an early scrum after NZ make a hash of it. NZ concede free kick at first scrum and Italy take quick tap and launch first attack of the game.
    • - It's dry in Christchurch though there are only a smattering of fans in the stadium, which indicates just how much respect Italy have in New Zealand.
    • - All Blacks debut also for Lelia masa on the right wing, while Joe Rokocoko occupies the other wing berth.
    • - Italy, captained by the imperious Sergio Parisse are at near full strength and will want ot improve on their recent losses to Australia. Former Australia rugby league player Craig Gowe contines his education at fly-half as coach Nick Mallett looks to unearth a decent half-back pairing.
    • - One late change for the home side sees injured Ali Williams replaced by Isaac Ross in the second row. Mils Muliaina captain the side from full-back, Luke McAlister pulls the string from fly-half while Wyatt Crockett makes his debut at prop.
    • - Following their recent drawn Test series with France, the New Zealand players are under pressure to perform today against a full-strength Italy side. Chance of an upset? Unlikely, but the All Blacks are going through a transformation at the moment and missing key players Dan Carter and skipper Richie McCaw.
