    Time:80'
    • Scotland
    • Australia
    • 80+1' Giteau to win it... HE'S MISSED IT!! AMAZING!! THE FINAL WHISTLE GOES!! SCOTLAND WIN 9-8!! Not many points, but a genuine classic!
    • 80+1' AUSTRALIA SCORE!!! THEY ARE OVER FOR A TRY AND MURRAYFIELD IS SILENCED!! SCOTLAND ARE GUTTED!! But the conversion still has to go over...
    • 80' Such tension, Australia are on their 15th phase just inches from the line!
    • 78' Tremendous jinking run by James O'Connor and it's back against the walls for Scotland, eight yards from their line!
    • 77' Scotland: Dougie Hall on for Ross Ford.
    • 77' Luke Burgess knocks on to great cheers from the home crowd - every small victory is roared on here!
    • 76' DROP GOAL CHRIS PATERSON!! He splits the uprights from the edge of the 22, and Scotland lead 9-3 with five minutes to go!
    • 75' Scotland take a line-out short and hold on to possession. What a superb performance this has been - will they go for a drop goal?
    • 74' Australia: James O'Connor on for Quade Cooper.
    • 72' Just eight minutes to go, and Scotland continue to lead - Murrayfield senses a famous win.
    • 71' Giteau tries to spin it wide but his pass goes to ground and Chris Paterson collects the loose ball.
    • 69' More frustration for Australia as they build patiently then undo their good work with a knock-on.
    • 67' Play restarts with a Scotland scrum five metres from their line and Rory Lawson finds touch with his clearance.
    • 66' Palu has been strapped onto the immobilisation board, is being given oxygen and he is carried off to applause. Let's hope it isn't as serious as it looks.
    • 66' Wycliff Palu is down with what looks like a potentially serious injury - he hurt his neck and the medics are being extremely careful with him.
    • 66' Australia spin it wide from a penalty and Drew Mitchell goes over... NO!!! It's a forward pass and another golden opportunity goes begging!
    • 65' Scotland substitution: Richie Vernon comes on for Johnnie Beattie.
    • 63' Mistake by Genia! The ball slips out of his hands as he tries to spin the ball down the line and that's a knock on.
    • 61' Australia are keeping the ball in hand but Scotland continue to defy them with tireless defence.
    • 59' Giteau's grubber goes out 10 metres from the Scottish line and the pressure is on again.
    • 57' Godman kicks.... it bends to the left and goes over off the post!! Scotland are in front!
    • 56' Scotland win a penalty and Scotland play advantage.. Godman stries a speculative drop goal that is blocked, so play is taken back for the penalty.
    • 55' Australia look to fight back and Rocky Elsom leads the charge. This is anyone's game, and just about the best 3-3 I can remember watching.
    • 52' Godman kicks... and the ball drifts wide to the left of the posts. Still no second-half score!
    • 51' PENALTY SCOTLAND!!! A great kick and chase over the top - the Australian scum half Will Genia has no option but to hold on, and it's a chance to go for the lead.
    • 50' Danielli receives the ball under pressure and has to kick it hurriedly under pressure - he slices it straight out and Scotland are under real pressure.
    • 48' Another Scotland change - Alasdair Strokosh is replaced by the very popular figure of Jason White.
    • 46' The replay shows the ball is being held up by Jacobsen and again it will be no score for the Wallabies!
    • 46' Australia drive into the Scotland 22 and their progress is relentless... they push it over the line and it goes to the video ref!
    • 43' Poor strike from Giteau - it's wide left again! He is really struggling, having missed two penalties and a drop goal.
    • 42' Scotland are penalised for a high tackle on Giteau - it was Allan Jacobsen - and Giteau will have a kick for goal from here.
    • 41' Matt Giteau ghets the second half under way, and Scotland have brought Nick De Luca on for Graeme Morrison.
    • 40+1' Half-time, and the scores are level! Credit must go to the excellent Scottish rearguard defence.
    • 40' Almost disaster for Scotland, as they give away a free-kick and Wycliff Palu barges his way towards the line... Giteau drops for goal - and misses!
    • 39' Excellent kick into the Scotland 22, and there is a line-out 10 metres from the home team's line.
    • 37' Giteau misses!! He pushes his left-foot kick wide of the left post and that is a real shocker from the normally reliable number 10.
    • 36' Penalty Australia - the pressure tells and Giteau has an eminently makeable kick from just right of the posts.
    • 35' Australia run several phases of just popping it to their back row players and letting them make a few yards apiece. They are now in the Scotland 22.
    • 33' Godman chips through into the Aussie half and tries to collect but is barged over... probably a fair tackle. Just. Godman looks a bit like Andrei Arshavin.
    • 31' Ashley-Cooper is tackled as he kicks and sends a low, scuffed effort into the Scotland half - the home side exerting much more pressure now.
    • 30' A good run from Scotland full-back Adam Ashley-Cooper comes to an abrupt end as he is dump tackled by Allan Jacobsen. Bosh!
    • 28' Godman sends the ball towards the posts on a low trajectory but it's a good kick. Scotland are level against the odds!
    • 27' Penalty Scotland! It was set up by a barrelling Moray Low run, and Godman will kick for goal.
    • 24' The word from the touchline is Chris Cusiter is dazed, and will undergo tests for any sign of concussion.
    • 21' Another change for the home side - Chris Cusiter has taken a bash on the head and has to come off - the co-captain is replaced by a lavishly moustachioed Rory Lawson.
    • 20' More last-ditch defending from Scotland as Australia hooker Stephen Moore pops up between the centres and nearly takes it over, but the ball is held up again!
    • 17' Australia change at prop: Kepu comes on for Robinson.
    • 16' There is plenty of bodily contact here - the Strictly Come Dancing judges would like it - and there is a bit of a stoppage while a couple of players get medical treatment.
    • 14' Bad mistake from Phil Godman, who kicks for touch from a penalty but can only find the hands of an Australian defender.
    • 12' A combination of the slippy, wet ball and the wind means this is far from pretty. The Aussies are pretty handy in the scrum, however.
    • 10' The wind is really swirling around and Scotland are struggling to get a foothold in the game. They are just kicking it away under pressure whenever they get the ball.
    • 8' Real pressure from the Australians, who try to push over for the first try, but Scotland hold the ball up and then win a penalty. Good defence from Andy Robinson's men.
    • 6' Giteau makes no mistake with the kick, and Australia lead. I counted 11 of the 15 Aussies sporting moustaches for 'Movember'
    • 5' There's an infringement by the home side and that should give Matt Giteau a chance to kick the first points.
    • 2' It is a windy day, and immediately Australia kick for the corner - it's a line-out five yards from the Scotland line. Scotland win the line out and Cussiter wallops the ball back to half-way.
    • 1' We are under way at Murrayfield as Scotland take on Australia!
  • Summary

    Scotland versus Australia
      Tries Cross 80’
      Conversions
    Godman 27’, 56’ Penalties Giteau 4’
    Paterson 75’ Drops
