80' Wales win lineout and Shanklin tries to go through the middle. But NZ defence is strong and they win scrum put in. McCaw picks up and feeds Conrad Smith who breaks a number of tackles. Wales knock on and ref blows for full time. NZ win 19-12. Decent effort from Wales, but NZ were mostly in control after upping tempo in the second half. Thanks for joining us.
79' NZ pinch Wales' throw and with it probably win the game as Carter clears down field.
79' Wales win penalty at scrum and kick to corner. One more chance for the home side.
77' Interception Alun-Wyn Jones and the big lock races clear. But NZ hunt him down and he's uable to find the support. Wales retain ball but Roberts out wide is forced into touch. That was probably Wales' last chance.
74' Wales finishing well here but not really breaking NZ defence. Penalty Wales for Guildford coming in the side. Long kick for Jones but he needs it to bring Wales back to within one score. Lovely kick Jones and Wales have a thread of hope at 19-12.
72' Wales use ball well and make space for Williams on the right. The wing cuts insides and feeds Roberts who is smashed by Carter. Nice effort by Wales and unlucky not to get the penalty for Carter tackle.
69' NZ throwing the ball around with increasing confidence here and they again force Wales back into their 22.
66' Daffyd Jones on for Powell, Roberts on for Charteris and bennett on for Rees.
66' Nice kick Stephen Jones as he cuts NZ lead to 19-9.
66' Hook tries to counter from deep but is nailed by Kaino. NZ go over the top and Wales have penalty.
65' Carter goes close, Nonu fails to pass and is held up short. NZ continue to batter Wales line and home side eventually penalised for offside. Wales did well to keep NZ but must be careful not to concede yellow. Another chance for Carter and he makes it 19-6 NZ.
62' Scrum five NZ and they get the shove on. Kaino drives but again video official rules ball not grounded. How long can Wales hold out here?
61' Carter makes half break and feeds Conrad Smith at speed. The NZ centre reaches the line but Shane Williams looks to have an arm under the ball. Ref goes to video official who rules ball held up. Wales under severe pressure here.
61' Franks on for Crockett in NZ front row, Jones of for James in Wales front row.
60' Nice hand off by Conrad Smith and NZ are totally in control. Thorn crashes through Ryan Jones tackle and Wales only saved by ball hitting referee. Signs are not good for Wales as NZ lift the tempo.
58' Carter converts from out wide and NZ are 16-6 ahead.
57 ' NZ attack out wide and have pleanty of support. Guildford stays on his feet well and hooker Hore picks up to crash over. Soft defence from Wales as Kiwis lead 14-9.
54' Roberts on for Cooper at scrum-half, while Donnelly comes on for Eaton in NZ second row.
54' Wales go wide and Roberts pins back his ears. But Nonu tackle is good and Roberts pinged for holding on.
52' Halpenny fails to claim high ball, the third such error in a row by Wales. NZ spin ball through their backs but Wales defence is good and they earn penalty for NZ not releasing. Jones kicks down to NZ 22. Rare attacking chance for Wales in this half.
50' Cowan on for Leonard.
50' Good touch from Hook at last give Wales some field position.
49' Jane fends off tackle of Williams as NZ look to lauinch another attack. Like in the Eng v Aus game, the southern hemisphere side has started second half much better than their hosts.
47' NZ wheel scrum in Wales 22 and home side awarded penalty. NZ have started this half on top and Wales need to get some territory and possession soon.
43' Carter curls kick in nicely to give NZ 9-6 lead.
42' Testing high ball for Hook which the full-backs knocks on under pressure from NZ chaser. Dangerous attacking position for NZ and they earn penalty for deliberate Wales knock on as they go down blindside.
41' Wales keep NZ waiting on the pitch late for the second half, which Stepehen Jones gets underway. Can they end their long wait for a victory over the All Blacks?
40' Ref blows for half-time and it's all squad at 6-6. There's little in it in terms of territory and possession and Wales have everything to play for. NZ have kicked a lot in the first half and may prove more dangerous if they keep the ball to hand after the break.
35' Wales are by no means being out-played today and Stephen Jones lands his second penalty to bring them level at 6-6.
26' Williams tries to make space for Powell out wide but NZ defence is good and they earn penalty for Wales not releasing.
25' Millennium Stadium pitch is in shocking condition and players already struggling to keep their feet.
23' Nice break by Roberts in midfield and the Lions centre feeds Ryan Jones. NZ force turnover but Wales charge down clearance kick.
21' Carter puts through inch-perfect grubber which Halpenny does well to gather. But he's caught by a wave of NZ players and ball is turned over. Looks like Leonard has touched down - ref goes to video official. Ball knocked on but NZ have penalty and Carter kicks NZ into 6-3 lead.
20' NZ try to set-up drive from lineout but counter is good from Wales. Carter sends cross kick and Halfpenny does well to stop Smith from claiming ball. Another NZ lineout deep in Wales 22.
19' Charteris pinches loose ball but Wales penalised for going in from the side. Lovely touch from Carter moves NZ to 10m from Wales line.
17' Wales looking to get some continuity going but NZ pinch ball and Carter tries to launch counter. Carter spills it forward and McCaw penalised - tad unlucky, for a change! Penalty Wales. Stephen Jones on target and makes it 3-3.
13' Penalty NZ and Carter has first chance to get score on the board. Simple kick for the points machine and he nails it esaily to give NZ 3-0 lead.
6' Hook almost caught deep in his own half, but finds Cooper and the scrum-half makes good ground before releasing his backs. Wales continue attack and NZ penalised for falling over the ball.
4' Kick tennis, aerial ping pong, call it what you want - there has been a lot of kicking in first few minutes.
1' New Zealand pinch kick-off but good work from skipper Ryan Jones allows Wales to force turnover and Shanklin chips ahead to NZ 22. Good start by the home team.
1' Carter gets the game underway.
- There are a few unfamiliar faces for the All Blacks but it is still a formidable outfit lead by Richie McCaw as they go through their traditional haka. ThereÂ’s a packed house in Cardiff at a typically great atmosphere.
- Wales are missing Lee Byrne and Mike Phillips but still look a decent side, with James Hook replacing Byrne at full-back and Gareth Cooper repalcing Phillips at scrum-half. There is a first cap for Ospreys prop Paul James.
- One crucial piece of news for All Blacks fans and that is that Dan Carter will start. Not god news for Wales but I'm sure Warren Galtand's side would not have wanted it any other way as they try to win for the first time in 20 attempts.

Allllllllllllllllll Blacksssssssssssssssssssssss

Job done by the men in black,no complaints guys,McKaw still the best 7,uses his brains and brawn where needed, best talker to a ref since the big man, Martin Johnson- buts thats how they win games!!

Well done 'commentator'-you managed the whole match without naming the ref.

Im welsh btw.

so even with wales playing very poor and having two huge ref blunders against them (the high tackle and the line out which wasnt knocked on), they still manage to only lose to the best team in the world by a try? NZL played well and deserved the win. Hopefully in the next encounter Wales can perform they way they should and we can give a better match.

ffs how many times do we bottle the big occasion? james has no place and should not win a 3rd cap, ryan jones puzzles me and i wonder exactly what he does he certainly does get over the gain line any more, martyn williams simply aint up to it physically again the very best in the world, ryan powell runs round like a headless chicken? coopers delivery is like waiting for xmas, stephen jones runs like a f ucking robot and in his tin head he's only got a tiny 32mb brain, shanklin appears on the team selection but did anybody actually see him? If we'd had half of the irish pack today we'd have won comfortably-signing out one frustrated Welshman...

Re Burkeytaf: do you think if I could watch it on TV I would be on this site???

aaaaarghahahahahaha 57 years now, nothing wrong with that tackle from carter it was clearly around the shoulders, wales forwards got taken to school, maybe next year girls good effort from n.z

there goes gatland again, crying about the refs. Fits right in with the taffs...

aaaarghahahahahaha 57 YEARS now, wales forwards got taken to school, maybe next year girls

well, lets hope that shuts up bigmouth Gatland for a while...

comment 15... u are just repeating what u heard on rte mate

NZ will blast the Welsh away in the second half, they are merely toying with the taffs!

way to much kicking, Wales have more possession but doing nothing with it. I am blaming the rules, the team with the ball is actually at a disadvantage.

COME ON LIVERPOLE,WE CAN BEAT THEM. WE NEED THE POINTS. COME ON THE POLE.

wales forwards need to smash the all blacks at the breakdown

wales wont win if their forwards keep getn blown off the ball in the rucks like they are

Btw if you want live commentary its actually in the england game for some reason, till they fix it.

Great commentary

19 mins gone and all we got is
