    • 80' The conversion is good and that is full-time. 40-10 the final score and a record winning score against France for the Wallabies. We are back next Saturday as New Zealand take on Australia again in the Tri-Nations. Join us then!
    • 79' TRY!! Something for the French to smile about as Trinh-Duc finishes off a breakaway try. Benjamin Thiery was the key there, breaking Giteau's challenge and steaming down the left wing before popping to the flyhalf.
    • 74' Boyet is back on and the French are up to their full complement of 15.
    • 73' Off comes Australian captain Stirling Mortlock. Job well done by him. Less so Sebastien Chabal, who also trudges to the bench.
    • 68' Giteau slots the conversion! He is eight from eight tonight. It looked like he would drag it wide of the right post, but for once the ball stayed straight and squeaked through. 40-3.
    • 67' TRY!! There it is. After France commit two more cynical penalties, Australia work it wide to Ryan Cross who scores his second try of the game!
    • 66' Australian penalty 10 from the French line. Taken quickly and they work through several phases of possession. Australia inch closer and this will surely be a try...
    • 64' That is just silly from Benjamin Boyet. A late dump tackle - always going to be a yellow card and the French are down to 14 men for the next 190 minutes.
    • 58' Giteau converts from just right of the posts. 33-3 Australia lead, and they now look full of confidence having weathered that mini-storm of French pressure.
    • 57' TRY!! A debut try for the substitute Ryan Cross and it's all too easy for Australia. They spin the ball out to the right, Cross breaks an arm tackle and paces it to the line.
    • 55' Adam Ashley-Cooper does all the hard work, breaking two challenges but then knocking on as he tried to hand the ball off for a certain try.
    • 48' Fance have a good spell of possession 10 yards or so from the Aussie line, but they just cannot close the deal here. Frustrating stuff.
    • 43' Benjamin Boyet comes on for France and immediately makes his presence felt with a scything run into the Australian 22.
    • 41' Second half under way! France have a lot of work to do, although they did show occasional glimpses of class towards the end of the first period.
    • 40' Half-time, and Australia lead 26-3. A very good performance so far from the Wallabies. France have been outclassed.
    • 40' Trinh-Duc has a chance to reduce arrears with an easy penalty with the last kick of the half... he scores.
    • 40' James Horwill's left eye looks a mess after eating a Harinorduquy knuckle sandwich. Referee Honiss of New Zealand blames the second row for starting the fight in the first place and tells him to bugger off for some treatment. No cards. Great refereeing.
    • 39 FIGHT!! That's easily the best French contribution of the game as a scuffle in midfield results in flying fists. Harinorduquy is throwing punches left, right and centre and there could be cards here.
    • 36' TRY!!! What a try!! Matt Giteau spins through a tackle and sends a backhand pass to James Horwill who touches down. Sensational stuff from Giteau, who duly adds the extras. 26-0.
    • 29' Giteau curls another one between the posts. That's 300 Test points now for him.
    • 28' Ouedraogou does not release the ball on the ground and it's another Aussie penalty - Giteau will go for goal again.
    • 23' Matt Giteau is literally kicking France to death. More indiscipline gives him another chance to split the uprights, and he duly makes it 16-0.
    • 20' The surface is less than ideal. The grass is thin and coming out in great clumps. Stirling Mortlock's shoulders are adorned with two large tufts of sod.
    • 16' Matt Giteau again! France concede a needless penalty and the Aussie fly-half makes it 13-0 with a measured strike.
    • 12' A chance for France to get on the board as Francois Trinh-Duc lines up an easy penalty - and he drags it wide. A bad miss from the French number 10.
    • 10' That French fanfare you always hear draws a muted response. Les Bleus are getting an old-fashioned shoeing early on here.
    • 8' Lovely strike from Giteau - the conversion is good from right out on the touchline. 10-0 Australia.
    • 7' TRY!!! Berrick Barnes sprays a beauty of a crossfield kick to the right side and Peter Hynes has the freedom of Brisbane to stroll over the line. Great start for the Wallabies.
    • 4' An early penalty for Australia that Giteau steps up and strikes left-footed. He curls it just inside the left-hand post.
    • 1' Game on in Brisbane! A huge roar and expectations of a big win for the Wallabies.
    • - Welcome to LIVE coverage of Australia versus France from Brisbane! It could be a tough evening for an experimental France line-up.
