1' The national anthems have been sung, tracksuits are off and we're all ready to go. Giteau kicks off for the Wallabies.
- There are four survivors from the England team that won in Marseille against the odds last summer, while the Wallabies have six players who will remember that defeat. But the majority of players running out today have little baggage from previous clashes so it's pretty much a clean slate.
- Australia struggled to beat Italy last week, requiring a late touch down to win 30-20, but coach Robbie Deans has recalled all his big guns for the Twickenham clash. Much focus has been on their front row of Al Baxter, Stephen Moore and Benn Robinson and how they will fare against Sheridan, Vickery and Lee Mears.
- England began their new era under Martin Johnson with a win over the Pacific Islanders last weekend though they will find today's opponents a far greater challenge. Johnson has kept faith with his free running backline and made just two changes up front, recalling prop Phil Vickery and lock Tom Palmer to add experience and beef to his front five.
- England beat Australia the last time the two sides met - in the 2007 World Cup quarter-final - when Andrew Sheridan gave the Wallabies front row a real turning over. England will look to do same again today but the Wallabies scrum has increased greatly since the World Cup and showed well in the Tri-Nations earlier this summer.
- There is a long, long history between these two sides and this afternoons clash promises to write another chapter in their long rivalry. The Wallabies have lost on four of their last five visits to Twickenham but both sides are going through transition so previous results are unlikely to count for much.
