41' Second half gets underway at Franklin's Gardens.- 40' Quins attack again and Williams looks to have gone over but ref calls them back for forward pass. Ref blows for half-time and Saints lead 11-3.
38' Saints down to 14 men and Quins looking to finish half strongly. Evans glides through gap and finds Strettle on the wing, but his pass to Williams goes straight into touch. Not the best of passes to the returning wing and a missed opportunity.- 35' Penalty to Quins and Evans gets them on the board with well struck kick. 11-3 to Saints.
34' Huge hit on Robshaw, who stays down. Looked illegal challenge and Robshaw receiving attention. Best has been singled out as culprit and gets yellow card. Robshaw thankfully back up again.- 32' Lovely injection on an angled pass from Myler by Ashton moves Saints into Quins 22 and visitors concede penalty. Simple chance for Myler to extend Saints' lead, which he does and the home side lead 11-0.
- 30' Neat kick by Foden, who has failed to see action with England this autumn, moves Saints deep into Quins half. Quins win lineout and try to kick deep but Ashton and Reihana launch counter, but visitors win a penalty after Saints fail to release in tackle. Nice move from the Saints though.
- 23' Saints have their tails up as Clarke steps inside another Quins tackle. Great battle going on between the two Dickson brothers who are opposing scrum-halves today.
- 18' Quins concede penalty and Myler has chance to extend Saints lead, though not an easy kick in swirling winds. Not the best of strikes by the young fly-half but the wind assists his kick and he makes it 8-0 to Saints.
- 14' Wilson breaks Quins tackle and sets up Saints attack. Clarke slips inside tackle and continues move into Quins half. Quins offside, Dowson takes quick tap. But Saints crossing and Saints see chance of three points and extending their lead go begging. Penalty to Quins allows Evans to relieve pressure but the Kiwi misses touch.
- 10' Quins continue to attack and showing some ambition by trying to throw the ball about and attack Saints with series of moves. Home defence so far holding firm but Quins enjoying good period of possession and territory.
- 8' Karl Dickson makes a sniping break and sets up Quins drive to within inches of Saints try line. Ball is knocked on and chance goes begging. But good response by Quins.
- 4' Downey isolated and caught in possession allows Evans to kick Quins deep into Saints 22. Can they carve out an early reply from this attacking position?
2' Early pressure from the Saints as Clarke chips ahead, the Quins defence looks baffled from the kick and the home side scores from the first attack of the game through wing Reihana. Disasterous start for Quins as Saints take a 5-0 lead.
