The question is simple that the shortest crossing point between France and GB was at a piece of land on English soil. The fact that so amny people recognised that if the nazi's made that jump then that was essentially it for the idea of democracy. The numbers or ratio's of those who fought and those that died are irrelevant but you demean the deaths of your fellow Scots because due to your bigotry you are saying they died for nothing then? As an Englishman I want you to have your independence and hopefully so will the Welsh and Irish and Ultimately we English.
