Scotland slipped to their second Six Nations defeat in seven days as France kick-started their campaign with an unconvincing 22-13 win. More
80' Last play of the game as the clock goes red. Scots wheel and ref orders another put in. Scots down too early and France have free-kick and again opt for scrum. French knock on and ref blows for full-time. Better from Scotland, just good enough from France. Now to Cardiff!
79' France looking for a final flourish. Ouedraogo is put free on the right but is hauled down 10m short. France forwards drive to within a metre of Scots line and win penalty. Nallet opts for scrum. One last play for France.
77' Poitrenaud slices kick out on full and Sctos have lineout in France half. Thom Evans comes off his wing and almost breaks free off Godman pass.
75' Scots offloading at every chance now as they continue high-risk approach. It's the only way.
74' Cusiter on for Morrison.
73' Scots are turned over and France win penalty for not releasing. Disappointing from Scotland as Beauxis has another chance to extend France lead, which he does. 22-13 France.
70' Paterson adds conversion and Scots now trail by one score at 19-13. Can they summon the effort to secure a shock win in Paris for first time since 1999?
69' Strokosch goes through the middle, Hall continues attack and ball is spread wide to Godman. Decent attack from Scots as they pressure France try line. Ball comes back and Godman feeds Thom Evans on the inside and the in-form winger goes over under the posts for well-worked try! 19-11. Well played Scotland.
67' Parra on for Tillous-Borde at scrum-half for France.
66' Paterson on for Danielli, and Hall for Ford.
65' Southwell evades tackle and attacks from deep. Thom Evans carries attack into France half and Scots win penalty. Blair takes quick tap - wrong decision - and France force lineout. Scots throw but it's not straight. Another chance goes begging.
61' Danielli chips ahead and is tripped by Nallet. Penalty Scotland. Nallet lucky to get away with it. Godman well off the mark!
60' Chabal on for Milo-Chluski and Mermoz for Baby.
59' Scots go down in scrum and France have shot on goal from just outside 22. Beauxis makes no mistakes and France lead 19-6. Starting to look beyond Scotland now.
58' Knock on by Scots - again by Danielli. No-one on him either! Can't afford such mistakes if they want to keep alive their hopes of reeling France in.
56' Nice take by Southwell under pressure from Dusautoir and Scots secure ball. Godman finds half a gap as Scots attack up to halfway. Barclay breaks clears and swtiches with Blair before he is enveloped in a wave of white shirts and is penalised for holding on. Good effort from Scotland, but they are kicked back to halfway.
55' Kayser on for Szarzewski at hooker.
52' High tackle by Scotland and France have another kickable penalty. Super kick from Beauxis to put France 16-6 ahead.
50' Knock on by Danielli and France have attacking position in Scots' half. The ball goes wide, Poitrenaud kicks ahead and Danielli forced back to clear from Medard.
49' Poitrenaud charged down and Scots have chance to attack. Godman and Blair go down the narrow side but when ball is recycled it is knocked on.
47' Argy-bargy between Szarzewski and Ford and Scots awarded penalty. Lovely kick by Godman as he cuts France lead to 13-6.
46' Moray on for Dickinson in Scots front row.
46' Beauxis adds the extras and France lead by 10 at 13-3.
46' France making inroads now, Poitrenaud and Nallet launch attack, Medard feeds Ouedraogo and the flanker goes over. 11-3 France. Looked forward pass at the end but touch-judge awards it.
44' Freekick Scots and Southwell puts up high ball. Harinordoquy claims ball superbly and launches attack. Ball is kicked ahead but Scots back to touch down for 22 drop out, which France again run back at them. Urgency about French play now.
43' Another knock on by France, this time by replacement Boyoud and Scots have scrum down.
42' Godman kicks long but Poitrenaud responds with interest. Scots run ball back through Thom Evans but the wing is tackled into touch on his 10-yard line.
40' Boyoud is on at prop for Mas as France get the game restarted.
39' Scots pick and drive as they look to get another score before the break. But France defence is good and Ouedraogo forces turnover which Beauxis kicks to touch in Scots 22. Lineout Scots which they scrabble into touch allowing ref to blow for half-time. A decent effort from Scotland. The longer they can keep France in this position the more pressure their hosts will feel. All to play for.
37' France pour forward in attack from drop out. Baby tackled high by Barclay and France have another penalty. Beauxis this time on target and France lead 6-3.
35' Dickinson off his feet and concedes penalty at restart. But Beauxis again well off target and gets jeers from crowd for his effort! Another let off for Scotland.
34' Pressure on Godman by France back row but they knock on and Scots have attacking scrum. Freekick Scots for France pushing early and Scots attack through their backs. France hands in ruck - Baby at fault - and Scots have penalty chance on goal. Nice kick Godman and Scots are level at 3-3.
31' Poitrenaud tries to run from deep but team-mate obstructs and Scots penalty allows them to kick to touch in France 22. Good position.
27' Solid France defence as they force turnover and attack through Dusautoir. France go through several phases and build attacking position just outside Scots 22. Beauxis kick is knocked on by France and Scots have chance to clear the danger.
25' Good hands from the Scots backs as they make inroads into France midfield though Morrison and Max Evans. But ball goes loose and Beauxis hacks through. France fly-half only denied by bounce of ball and Scots earns penalty when France forwards go over the top.
23' Penalty to France as Brown fails to roll away in the tackle. Daft decision. No way could Brown roll away as he had five French bodies on top of him! Beauxis on target this time to give France 3-0 lead.
20' Attacking lineout to France in Scots 22. Jauzion makes burst into Scots midfield but again France knock on, this time through Heymans. Scots showing dare by attacking from deep and trying to stretch France defence.
19' Big hit Heymans on Max Evans and France win penalty for Scots entering ruck from the side.
17' Hamilton off injured, Taylor into second row and Brown into back row. That's two flankers in the second row now for the Scots! They may be mobile but their pack will be short of weight.
16' Huge Garryowen from Beauxis is claimed by France and they attack in numbers into Scots 22. France attack is slowed by Scots defence and they knock on to allow Blair to kick downfield.
14' Again France knock on. Whistles from the crowd, which is just what Scotland need. France thrive on atmosphere and are vulnerable when things don't go their way.
13' Huge shove from the French and Scots are going backwards. Harinordoquy picks up and although Tillous-Borde knocks on France have a penalty. But Beauxis pulls his kick and Scotland are let off. French crowd not impressed!
11' Southwell charged down and France have good attacking lineout just outside Scots 22. Scotland knock on and France have an attacking scrum now. Dangerous for the visitors!
10' Danielli attacks from deep and makes good ground. The ball is recycled but again it's lost forward, this time Hamilton knocking on.
9' Scotland doing well to keep French in their own half as Max Evans makes a useful run into the heart of their defence. But ball is knocked on as he looks for his support. Scrum France in their own 22.
8' Scots scrum is creaking and after a re-scrum the French pack is awarded the put in. Lost opportunity for Scotland as Harinordoquy breaks from the base of the scrum before Tillous-Border clears.
6' Scrum now to Scotland and Blair makes a usfeul half-break towards France 22. The ball is chipped through and Tillous-Borde almost makes a pigs ear of it before touching down for 5m to Scotland. Great chance for the visitors.
3' Scots pinch France lineout and launch attack through Morrison. But there is no way through the tough French tackling and Dickinson knocks on for France scrum.
2' France defence is good and they force a turnover through Szarzewski.
1' Early knock on by France and the Scots put pressure on their try line before Tillous-Borde clears for touch. Lineout Scotland in France 22.
1' France are out to make amends this afternoon - can the Scots match them and produce a performance they can be proud of. We'll know the answer to that in 80 minutes time as Scots fly-half Godman gets the game underway.
- The teams have just run out on to the pitch to a huge roar at the Stade de France.
- The same applies to Geoff Cross, who is replaced by Alasdair Dickinson at prop with the Gloucester tight-head also making his first Six Nations start. Like Lamont and Cairns, flanker Allister Hogg is dropped with Gloucester's Alasdair Strockosch starting at blindside. Uncapped Glasgow prop Moray Low comes onto the bench to provide cover at tight-head.
- Thom replaces Sean Lamont on the wing and Max is preferred to Ben Cairns at outside centre. Also in the backs, Ulster wing Simon Danielli comes in for Simon Webster, who has failed to recover from a head injury.
- Scotland coach Frank Hadden is also under increasing pressure after his sides poor effort at Murrayfield, which resulted in their ninth defeat from their last 10 Six Nations games. Hadden is still without key forwards Euan Murray and Nathan Hines, and has pretty much accepted he made a mistake by failing to include Max and Thom Evans in his team by naming them in the starting XV Paris.
- France looked in fine fettle for most of the game in Dublin and, had it not been for an outstanding Ireland display, could well have started their championship with a win. But another loss will not be acceptable to their impatient following, who are yet to be convinced by Lievremonts selections and approach. Only a convincing win in Paris will suffice.
- In come Romain Millo-Chluski, Cedric Heymans, Fabien Barcella and Nicolas Mas respectively, while Lievremont was also forced into replacing centre Florian Fritz with benoit Baby after the former picked up a two-game ban for dangerous play during the Dublin loss.
- France coach Marc Lievremont responded to the loss in Dublin by making four changes to the side that went down 30-21. Lock Sebastien Chabal, wing Julien Malzieu and loosehead prop Lionel Faure have been demoted while tight-head Benoit Lecouls has been ruled out through a neck injury.

scotland are the worst team ever!

2 point defeat not so bad for Scotland !!!!!

at least no matter what us scots always keep our head high and be proud of what the team have done !

Why do Scotland persist with "Flower of Scotland", it is defeatist "When will we see their like again". You only have to look at the faces of the Scottish team as it is played, to see how lack=lustre they find it. Go back to "Scotland the Brave" much more upbeat.

vive la france woohoo haha

paterson on for danielli went to murrayfield for the game and paterson really brought some flair to the game in comparison to webster the evans brothers are a top class addition
