    • Italy
    • Ireland
    • FT And there is the full-time whistle. It wasn't pretty but job done as far as Ireland are concerned. Their Grand Slam hopes remain alive.
    • 79' (9-38) O'Gara converts straight between the post and Ireland have got a sizeable lead their play prehaps does not quite deserve.
    • 78' And there is another try! Loose pass from Masi and O'Driscoll steals and runs way for a try from inside his own half. A bit like Bowe's try earlier.
    • 77' (9-31) And O'Gara with a fine kick for the conversion....
    • 76' TRY IRELAND - Italy kick to touch but Luke Fitzgerald then takes a quick line-out and gets the ball back before going in at the corner.
    • 75' Ireland awarded a penalty near the line - O'Gara is going to kick to touch as the Irish look for a late try.
    • 73' Better stuff now from Ireland - O'Connell found a gap and now at least the Irish are trying to throw the ball around a bit - Heaslip has now helped the green machine up to the Italian 22.
    • 70' Back to the turgid tedium of a whole lot of nothing in midfield - the crowd look bored, I'm bored, and any neutral watching on TV has surely changed the channel by now.
    • 66' Mirco Bergamasco keeps the attack alive by hanging onto poor pass and then kicks to touch. Ireland win the line-out though and a solid O'Leary kick relieves the danger.
    • 65' Italy now in the Irish 22 after Griffin found a little gap.
    • 62' Changes on both sides has made this contest very scrappy and the ground has gone very flat.
    • 58' Ireland give away a penalty though and Italy can clear.
    • 57' Ireland now pressing deep in the Italian 22 as they look to put this match to bed.
    • 53' Ireland have had 75 per cent of the possession in this second-half which has helped them to dominate.
    • 50' (9-24) Italy give away a penalty for handling in the ruck just outside the 22 - a little to the left but easy pickings for a kicker of O'Gara's quality.
    • 48' Another mashed up face - this time Gonzalo Canale is the not so beautiful victim and he is forced off.
    • 47' (9-21) O'Gara converts and Ireland now have control of the match.
    • 47' But the try does arrive as David Wallace finds a gap to get over and again it is under the posts.
    • 46' Ireland right on the line now after a brilliant break from Jamie Heaslip.
    • 44' Just seen Paddy Wallace on the touchline and it looks like he has gone 12 rounds with Mike Tyson - his face is a mess and no wonder he went off. Bad news for his wife!
    • 43' Ireland have started this second-half the better - O'Gara has just kicked to touch deep inside the Italy 22 to put the pressure one.
    • 43' And now a hand injury is forcing off Ongaro with Festuccia coming in.
    • 41' A change for Ireland at the break - Paddy Wallace's cut has kept him out and Gordon D'Arcy comes on.
    • 41' Ronan O'Gara is back in the field and he restarts the second-half.
    • HT And that is the last action of the half - Ireland lead but are lucky to be front.
    • 40' (9-14) Kearney happy the ball is right in front of the post kicks over to give Ireland the lead - what a big try!
    • 40' BUT FERRIS FINALLY FINDS A GAP and he then dumps it off to Luke Fitzgerald under the posts for a try. Rob Kearney will take the conversion.
    • 39' Italy have pushed Ireland back to 22 line - 17th phase of this Irish attack now!!
    • 39' Ireland remain camped deep in the 22 but Italy are defending well.
    • 37' Again another penalty - but again with no kicker on the pitch Ireland have to go for touch.
    • 37' Ireland trying to drive to the line after winning the line-out.
    • 36' Perugini tackles O'Connell in the air - another penalty (to touch) but Perugini gets sent to the bin.
    • 35' Italy concede a penalty off that line-out but with no kicker on the pitch they go for touch.
    • 34' Kearney with a good kick into touch to deep inside the 22 to put pressure on Italy. Paddy Wallace is off as a blood change with Peter Stringer coming on. With O'Gara off O'Leary will have to act as fly-half.
    • 34' Ireland with ball in the Italy half after a fine break from O'Leary.
    • 32' McLean though misses to the left and that was no harder than some of the others.
    • 31' O'Gara sees a kick charged down and then he tackles off the ball trying to redeem the situation and is given a yellow card for his troubles - 10 minutes in the bin and McLean with another chance.
    • 29' A number of phases of Irish pressure but they are still just inside the 22. Ireland then awarded a scrum.
    • 27' Ireland's backs are showing butter fingers today. Another ball is spilled but again they are given a chance as Italy give away another penalty. Ireland with a line-out at the Italian 22.
    • 25' Kearney charges superbly to nick the re-start and is very unlucky to knock on.
    • 24' (9-7) Three for three from the impressive McLean as Italy take the lead once more.
    • 23' Ireland giving away the more expensive penalties though - Donnacha O'Callaghan with a high tackle and McLean with another chance - 40 yards out or so but straight and the Italians have the wind advantage.
    • 22' Ireland cough up another knock on - while Italy are giving away a lot of penalties.
    • 20' Italy forced into a change Andrea Bacchetti comes on for injured winger Kaine Robertson.
    • 19 (6-7) And O'Gara kicks over the easy conversion to give Ireland the lead.
    • 19' TRY IRELAND FROM NOTHING - Italy were building in the Irish half off a line-out but then a pass was deflected into the path of Tommy Bowe who burst clear - he was tackled just before the line but his momentum took him over.
    • 17' Flannery with an idiotic back pass while being tackled is knocked on by O'Connell - shambolic stuff from Ireland thus far.
    • 15' (6-0)Ireland now offside at the ruck and Italy have another chance - near midfield but straight and McLean again drills it between the posts.
    • 14' Wallace wins the line-out but dumps off to Parisse and Italy can counter.
    • 13' Ireland try and drive with the pack and then Italy come in at the side - a kickable chance for O'Gara but he has gone for touch instead.
    • 12' Masi comes back on as Ireland kick ANOTHER penalty to the 22 - eight penalties in this match already - very scrappy.
    • 10' Tommy Bowe with a great take in the air on his own 22 - he gets the penalty too as he was challenged while airborne.
    • 9' Nice work off the line-out from Ireland but Italy crowd out O'Driscoll and his poor pass leads to another knock-on.
    • 8' Another chance for Ireland now though as Italy give away a penalty. Again O'Gara kicks to touch at the 22.
    • 7' Good run from Kearney sets up an Irish attack but then John Hayes knocks on in midfield. Not a good start from Hayes who is earning a record equalling 91st cap today.
    • 5' O'Gara then fails to kick the restart 10 yards and Ireland are shooting themselves in the foot here in the early stages despite having an extra man.
    • 5' (3-0) Ireland fail to get away from a ruck and Italy have the first chance to kick points. Nice kick from McLean too and Italy have the lead.
    • 3' Ireland's attack is ended quickly though as John Hayes gives away a penalty for holding on.
    • 2' O'Gara kicks the penalty to touch just outside the 22 to give good field position to Ireland early.
    • 1' OUCH - very high tackle on Kearney from Andrea Masi after less than a minute and that is a yellow card. 10 minutes in the bin for Masi and he is lucky that is all.
    • - Luke McLean - who came on against England last week - gets us underway against an unchanged Ireland side.
    • - The anthems being sung with passion and gusto as always in the Six Nations. We shall be getting underway shortly.
    • - Welcome to our LIVE coverage from Rome as Ireland look to keep their Grand Slam hopes alive with a win over Italy.
