    • 72' O'Gara moves Ireland seven points clear with well-struck penalty. Ireland 22-15 with nine minutes remaining.
    • 70' O'Leary kicks upfield, Fitzgerald chases and catches Godman on his try line. Ball is spilled into touch and Scots have lineout five metres from their line. Lucky escape for the home side, who then concede penalty for Gray holding on. Another chance for O'Gara out wide on his wrong side.
    • 65' Scrum-half O'Leary on for Stringer.
    • 64' Ireland miss jumper at lineout but win penalty when Taylor caught in possession by O'Connell and fails to release. But O'Gara misses and fails to make Scots pay. Could be expensive miss!

    • 47' Ireland very much on front foot but Scots force turnover through Blair and Paterson clears up field. Ireland very much better this half and putting Scots defence under huge pressure.
    • 45' Crooked lineout throw from Ford and Ireland have scrum in Scots half. D'Arcy makes half break, feeds Heaslip and the ball is moved wide to Fitzgerald, only for Scots defence to force wing into touch. Much better from Ireland.
    • 42' Ireland set up couple of phases and then spread ball to their backs, only for Kearney to knock on D'Arcy's pass.
    • 41' O'Gara gets the second half started. Can Ireland up their performance and keep the Grand Slam alive?
    • 40' Ireland looking to score before the break. D'Arcy almost puts O'Driscoll clear but ball is slightly forward and ref blows for half-time.
    • 39' Ireland finishing the half on the front foot, but kick possession away and Thom Evans counters, kicks ahead and wins race for the ball. But desperate Ireland defense from Bowe prevents certain try.

    • 30' Leamy is off and Heaslip on.

    • 23' It has been all Scotland so far but Ireland have attacking scrum just outside Scots 22. Ireland spread ball wide and almost make room for Leamy to break clear on left touchline.
    • 20' Huge scrum from Scots and Taylor and Strokosch lead attack into Ireland 22. Ireland skipper O'Driscoll penalised for too much use of the boot and warned by ref. An easy chance for Paterson and he extends Scots lead to 9-3. Not a good start for the Irish.
    • 16' Ireland looking to set up period of attacking possession but penalised for holding on and Godman kicks Scots down to half-way line.
    • 13' Ireland fail to roll away in the tackle and concede another penalty. Wallace looks to be guilty party and Paterson has another shot on goal. Paterson again on target and Scots lead 6-3.
    • 11' Scots turn now to concede penalty and good chance for O'Gara to level the scores, which he does. 3-3.
    • 8' Ireland force turnover but Wallace isolated and concedes penalty. Blair takes quick tap and kicks long, but it's too long and Ireland have a scrum back in Scots half.
    • 7' Paterson on target from out wide and Scots lead 3-0, a lead they deserve.

    • 1' The anthems have been sung and Godman gets the game started for Scotland.
    • - If Ireland win today then they face a championship decider with Wales in Cardiff next weekend, when they will also look to secure the Grand Slam. Kidney's men have it all to lose this afternoon, but on form it is hard to see them going down.
    • - Scotland have promised much under coach Frank Hadden but to-date they have failed to delivered. They have the chance this afternoon to topple one of Europe's best sides and at the same time end hopes of only the second Grand Slam in Irish rugby history, the other coming in 1948.
    • - Paterson replaces Hugo Southwell at full-back in the only change to the back line, while fit-again Jim Hamilton returns to the second row alongside Jason White in place of Alastair Kellock. Also up front, Alasdair Dickinson comes in for the injured Allan Jacobsen at loosehead prop.
    • - Scotland have recalled their record points scorer Chris Paterson as they look to build on their win over Italy two weeks ago.
    • - The match is a special occasion for veteran prop John Hayes, who earns his 83rd cap to become Ireland's most-capped player ahead of Malcolm O'Kelly.
    • - Kidney has made just three changes to his starting XV: Gordon D'Arcy replaces Paddy Wallace and re-forms his centre partnership with skipper Brian O'Driscoll, Peter Stringer gets the nod over Tomas O'Leary at scrum-half while Denis Leamy comes in for Jamie Heaslip at number eight.
    • - A huge challenge for Declan Kidney's men, who to-date have beaten France, Italy and England to remain the only unbeaten side in the championship.
    • - Welcome to the second Six Nations game of the afternoon as Ireland look to keep alive their Grand Slam hopes against Scotland at Murrayfield.
