England secured their first win in Dublin for 10 years as they defeated Ireland 12-6 in a gruelling Six Nations tussle. More
FT England win the final line-out - AND THERE IS THE FINAL WHISTLE….England have won in Dublin for the first time in 10 years.
79' ENGLAND STEAL THE LINE-OUT!!!!
75' Farrell can't squeeze it in and Ireland can still win with a converted try as they make a couple of changes.
72 Lawes forced off and Thomas Waldron comes on.
71' O'GARA PUTS IT WIDE!!! That could be a crucial miss – drifted to the right.
67' Donncha O'Callaghan and Chris Henry on for Donnacha Ryan and Sean O'Brien.
64' (6-9) No problems as Farrell kicks from inside the 22 – England have the lead again.
58' (6-6) Superb kick from O'Gara – the match is level and Ireland have a man advantage for the next 10 minutes.
57' James Haskell is sin-binned for playing the ball with his boot on the ground. He was trying to move away at the time but he clearly kicked the ball. 10 minutes for him – tough but kickable penalty for O'Gara near the sideline.
49' Courtney Lawes and Manu Tuilagi on for England. Joe Launchbury and Billy Twelvetrees on.
45' (3-6) No problems for O'Gara as he puts Ireland on the board.
41' Ronan O'Gara gets us back underway.
HT This kick goes stays to the right of the posts and doesn't sneak in. And that's the last action of a poor half of rugby. England making fewer mistakes though and that is why they are in front.
32' Terrible news for Ireland – Jonathan Sexton has pulled his hamstring and his afternoon is over. Ronan O'Gara comes on. Ireland lucky to have such an experienced replacement - his 127th cap.
29' (0-6) Super kick again from Farrell though – never in any doubt – England extend their lead against the run of play.
11' It gets worse for Ireland too as Zebo has a knock and is going off – Keith Earls comes on.
8' Craig Gilroy charges down an Owen Farrell kick at midfield and Farrell then immediately tugs Murray who is looking to prod the ball forward. Penalty to Ireland and Farrell lucky not to be binned for a cynical stop. Ireland kick to the 22.
3' (0-3) Expertly done from Owen Farrell who splits the posts – an encouraging start for the visitors

How does those sour grapes taste Michael Diamond? Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
Putting down some building blocks that may well build this England team into a world beating team
14 englishmen and 6 points in ten minute need we say more, except that Ireland stayed with 15 men is beyond me. However bad conditions 100% effort by both teams, to many errors from ireland and please stop stomping.
We have the makings of a very good side for the near future. Very good.
Bring the Frogs....
Cian Healy needs to be cited. Really gone down in my estimation after today. Rugby doesn't need thugs like that.
WELL DONE ENGLAND.
irish have a dirty pack! glad they lost!
Bloody hell , not a lot to choose between both sides , just a tad bit of luck for us English , be some in juries on both sides I think , but 6 nations what a great competion , great Rugby , everything given , well done all the teams this weekend for great Rugby ,
England to win the grand slam
Well done England.
Welldone England... Who's next?
Three lots of children crying in unison - irish, scots, and welsh. I love it
The best team won. Very good game.
without someone like skinner to move the ball about quickly, ireland are handcuffed !
well deserved
What a cracking game, two super sides that played in heavy conditions. Just a pity the the FRENCH referee wasn't of the same caliber as the players. The IRB needs to have a look at this guy, he spoiled many set plays from both teams. Again, well done to all the players
