80' The All Blacks are rucking and setting up Carter for the drop kick... back it goes... CHARGED DOWN!!! South Africa get the ball out and WIN THE GAME!!! What a performance from the world champions!
76' And the conversion is good!! South Africa lead it 30-28 with less than five minutes to go!! But they are still a man down...
75' TRY!!! WHAT A TRY!! Magnificent solo effort from Enrico Januarie for South Africa! He takes the ball from a scrum, beats one man, dinks a kick over a second, collects it and touches down! Sensational!
74' Massive kick from Carter! 28-23 for New Zealand, and they have a man extra...
73' High, dangerous neck tackle from Victor Matfield and he can have no complaints about his yellow card.
68' Butch James trims the lead again with a kick that glances over off the right-hand post. 25-23.
66' Drop goal Carter!! Standing just inside the 22, he turns on a sixpence and drills a low kick that just clears the posts.
61' That miss was Montgomery's last act of the game, as he is replaced by Conrad Jantjes. Luke Watson also on.
57' Another New Zealand change - a familiar face in Keven Mealamu coming on for Andrew Hore.
56' Carter converts and gives New Zealand a five-point lead!
55' TRY!! New Zealand on terms thanks to some classic passing and movement. They slice through the centre of the Bok defence and substitute Sione Lauaki touches down!
47' South Africa make a change, with Francois Steyn coming on for Adie Jacobs.
41' New Zealand have made a change, bringing Leon McDonald on for the ineffective Sitiveni Sivivatu. I probably wouldn't say that to his face, though.
41' The second half is under way, and my half was wrecked by a rubbish mardarin. Tough skin, loads of pips and, most crucially, it squirted juice all over my lap. Dreadful.
40' The buzzer goes with New Zealand on the attack, and South Africa are forced to concede a penalty. Referee Goddard tells Boks skipper Matfield he will "escalate" if there are any more cheap shots off the ball. Carter duly kicks the pen and we go inro half time with South Africa leading 17-15.
37' With referee Goddard playing advantage Butch James drops for goal... and it's good! That's his first Test drop goal - lovely kick.
32' TRY! New Zealand mess up the lineout leading to a Boks scrum. They work it to JP Pietersen who touches down - after a brief consulation with the TV ref the try is awarded.
29' Ali Williams never shook off that knock and he is replaced by the inexperienced Kevin O'Neill. A big blow for the All Blacks, that.
25' Carter just doesn't miss, does he? 12-9 to the All Blacks, straight down the middle. You could have made the posts a foot wide and the ball would still have gone through.
23' No problem for Montgomery. It is three penalties apiece and 9-9 midway through the first half. Not a great game, however.
20' Montgomery duly kicks another successful penalty and it is 9-6. Both sides seem peeved at what they consider over-zealous refereeing.
18' Carter takes an age over his kick - on the left side close to the touchline. But he then steps up and sends a brilliant kick soaring through the posts. 9-3 New Zealand.
14' An injury concern over All Blacks lock Ali Williams, who goes down in a stunned heap after a collision with Burger. He will play on but looks a little groggy.
13' These new ELVs are meant to cut down the number of penalties but don't seem particularly effective so far. Percy Montgomery kicks one from inside the All Black 22 and it is 6-3.
5' Carter duly slots the penalty and it is first blood to the All Blacks. The Boks made to pay for their indiscipline.
1' Off we go! South Africa catch the kickoff and clear to touch. A statement of intent from Sivivatu who spins a quick lineout and the All Blacks are quickly on the attack.
