    • 80' Wallabies claim possession but NZ force turnover. Somehow Aussies steal ball back and spread it wide to left wing, then right, the left again. Ashley-Cooper is held up and Aussies knock on. Ref blows for full-time and NZ win 19-18.
    • 79' Rokocoko put into space on right wing but Wallabies defence good. Carter chips towards corner, Ashley-Cooper and Turner make a mess of it and give Carter chance on goal when Turner fails to release. Carter on target from out wide and NZ lead 19-18.
    • 77' Nice mark by Turner who then finds good touch. Can the Wallabies hold on for last few minutes?
    • 76' NZ pick and drive towards Wallabies line. Carter back in the pocket ready for drop at goal. 14th phase and ball goes to carter and he scuffs his kick!
    • 73' Polota-Nau is on for Moore and So'oialo for Kaino.
    • 73' Mitchell kick goes too long and NZ have scrum back deep in Wallabies half.
    • 70' Wallabies on the attack now. Moore drives into NZ defence but is penalised for not releasing, allowing Carter to relieve the pressure.
    • 69' Lovely work from Burgess puts Hynes clear down left wing. Hynes makes 40m and chips ahead but NZ gather only for Elsom to smash Ross into touch!
    • 68' NZ fail to roll away after lovely break from Ashley-Cooper and Giteau has chance to re-take lead for Australia, which he does. Wallabies ahead 18-16.
    • 66' Lovely touchline conversion from Carter and NZ lead 16-15.
    • 65' Well played Giteau as he dispossesses Thorne. But Wallabies kick charged down and NZ launch attack through McCaw, Reid, Sivivatu and Nonu, who is put free in the corner to go over for game's fist try. 15-14.
    • 64' NZ winning battle of break down in this half. Elsom is getting treatment for leg injury but continues as NZ kick penalty to touch in Wallabies half. Aussies need to make some changes here!
    • 62' Rare chance for Wallabies as Hynes claims Burgess kick ahead after mistake by Rokocoko. But Hynes fails to see support inside and his kick ahead goes into touch.
    • 60' Sivivatu again cases havoc in Wallabies defence as they fail to claim high ball. NZ camped in Aussie territory since half time.
    • 59' Ref calls them back for earlier penalty to NZ and Carter has chance from near touchline to put them within one score. Nice kick and Wallabies lead now just 15-9.
    • 57' NZ force turnover and Cowan causes panic in Wallabies defence with lovely chip over the top. Aussies some how clear their lines but NZ take quick throw and continue to attack. Can the Wallabies survive as NZ have eight phase? Reid knocks on and respite for Wallabies.
    • 55' Wallabies being really stretched now. Ross makes break and feeds Muliaina at speed, but McCaw knocks on pass and scrum down for home side. Worrying signs for Australia!
    • 52' Aussies win scrum deep in their 22 but concede another scrum when Burgess runs into his own man. Aussies concede free kick at scrum, Reid takes quick tap and Cowan crashes over only for ref to call them back for Kaino obstruction.
    • 50' NZ attacking deep into Wallabies 22, edging forward towards Aussie try line. NZ opt to go blind but Sivivatu pass to Carter is forward and the fly-half's touch down is disallowed! Clearly forward. Hynes did well to pressure Sivivatu into making the error.
    • 48' McAlister has taken another knock to head when he clashed with Hynes and is replaced by Donald.
    • 48' Nonu pinged for not releasing and Giteau lands penalty to move Wallabies 15-6 ahead. NZ making too many errors and failing to capitalise on Brown's stretch in the sin bin!
    • 45' O'Connor has been limping and is replaced by Hynes.
    • 45' Wallabies concede another penalty and Carter this time on target to cut score to 12-6.
    • 43' Cross on for Barnes and Nonu for Smith.
    • 43' Carter pushes kick on goal and fails to cut Wallabies lead. Let off for Australia but they will need to buckle down while Brown is off.
    • 42' Sin-bin for Brown for spear tackle on Franks as replacement Nonu makes an early impression.
    • 41' Caerter gets second half underway and Elsom claims the ball cleany.
    • 40' Ref blows for half-time and Aussies lead 12-3. Not a great half but signs just before the interval that the game may open up a bit in the second half. NZ have it all to do, and although they have shown flashes of running rugby, they need to sort out their problems at the breakdown. Australia will be happy with nine-point lead but will know NZ will come back at them, as they did in Auckland.
    • 40' Giteau on target and Wallabies lead 12-3 going into the break.
    • 40' Wallabies finishing half on the front foot. Barnes and Giteau combine well in midfield, Barnes breaks NZ defence and feeds Sharpe, who is brought down by Cowan just short. Sharpe fails to find his support runners and NZ concede penalty on their own line. Should have been a yellow and ref warns McCaw!
    • 40' Smith knocks on and allows Wallabies to counter. Ashley-Cooper grubs ahead but Cowans easily wins race back to touch down.
    • 38' Lovely take from Sivivatu sets up NZ attack but Hore takes wrong option and fails to feed support runners outside him. Ball is retained but McAlister knocks on.
    • 36' NZ pinch ball from kick off and stretch Wallabies defence with series of attacks. Wallabies tackling is good and they earn penalty after six phases when McCaw goes to ground illegally.
    • 35' Scrappy passage of play and NZ concede penalty for going to ground and then marched back another 10 for talking back to ref. Penalty now in range for Giteau and the fly-half makes no mistakes. Wallabies lead 9-3.
    • 32' Al Baxter off after suffering in the last scrum and Alexander on at prop. Risky call from Deans!
    • 31' O'Connor touch goes straight out and NZ have lineout back in Wallabies half. Littel between the two sides so far and not the feast of running rugby we'd been hoping for!
    • 28' Carter wins penalty for obstruction after chip ahead. Daft decision as NZ lose 10m from where they were! Poor refereeing. NZ win long throw and attack through their backs only to concede penalty for Hore hands in a ruck.
    • 25' McAlister loops his wing and full-back to create a little space but his chip ahead is slightly too long and Giteau touches down comfortably.
    • 23' Lovely touch from Carter moves NZ into Wallabies 22. Robinson back on.
    • 21' Moore has taken a crack to his nose and is off for blood treatment. Robinson also off. Looks like the pair collided in making tackle.
    • 20' NZ on the attack now and producing some lovely quick passes, but concede penalty after big hit by Brown on Smith.
    • 17' NZ pressure Wallabies scrum and earn put in in attacking position. Ball is spread wide to Sivivatu but the wing fails to read Smith's pass and knocks on.
    • 15' Intricate backline move from lineout possession by NZ but comes to ane end with forward pass from Carter to McAliser.
    • 14' NZ lineout working better, but they have been throwing to the front in the early stages, which has limited their options when they win the ball.
    • 11' Baxter leads pick and go and NZ penalised for Kaino not releasing in the tackle. Another good chance for Giteau and he slots it to give Wallabies 6-3 lead.
    • 8' Wallabies' turn to launch rolling maul from lineout and make 20m upfield. Burgess sends up box kick but Sivivatu claims cleanly.
    • 6' Giteau makes half break as Wallabies attack from line out ball. NZ infringe and chance for Aussies to draw level. Giteau on target to level scores 3-3.
    • 4' Lovely strike from Carter and NZ lead 3-0.
    • 2' McAlister leaves field for cut to the mouth. Looks genuine in case any one was wondering!
    • 2' NZ win lineout and set up rolling maul. Carter puts through grubber but Wallabies pinch ball and try to launch counter. Giteau offside as ball is spilled by Aussies.
    • 1' Barnes gets us started and immediate penalty to NZ as Elsom takes McCaw out.
    • - McCaw leads the All Blacks through their traditional haka as we prepare for the sixth game of the Tri-Nations.
    • - It's a fine evening at the Olympic Stadium in Sydney, which should allow both sides to follow through their promise of playing attacking rugby.
    • - The Wallabies have also been boosted by the return of flanker Rocky Elsom. Skipper Stirling Mortlock and number Wycliffe Palu are out injured, but teenage sensation James O'Connor is recalled at full-back. Adam Ashley-Copper takes Mortlock's spot in the centres to make way for O'Connor. Richard Brown starts at number eight.
    • - NZ replace Rodney So'oialo at number eight with Kieran Read while Luke McAlister returns at inside centre for Ma'a Nonu, who joins So'oialo on the bench. Owen Franks gets the nod at prop ahead of John Afoa.
    • - The All Blacks now have their two talismen Richie McCaw and Carter back in the side, but it remains to be seen whether the fly-half's return has come too soon. Neither will make any difference if NZ's line-out again fails to perform and secure set-piece ball.
    • - For Henry, the return of Dan Carter could prove key to getting the All Blacks campaign back on track. Losing twice on the bounce is rare for NZ, while three in a row is unheard of and Henry won't want it to happen on his watch.
    • - Either way, both head coaches are feeling the heat. Many Kiwis are now questioning whether Graham Henry should have been handed another contract through to the 2011 World Cup, while Robbie Deans needs to get a result against one of the world's big three after a promising start to the year.
    • - Despite being under pressure for long periods, New Zealand beat Australia 22-16 in the opening game of this year's Tri-Nations in Auckland, a match the Wallabies will feel they should have won.
    • - The All Blacks have one win from three games in this year's series while the Wallabies are winless from two, so it is vital for both teams to win today in an effort to catch the Springboks, who are three from three.
    • - Good morning and welcome to live text coverage of the Tri-Nations clash between Australia and New Zealand from Sydney, a hugely important game for both sides.
