    • 80' Longo knocks on and ref Honiss blows for full time. What a glorious ending for the Pumas. A thoroughly deserved victory as they claim third spot. For France, a disappointing way to finish their own tournament. Thanks for joining us and see you again tomorrow evening for the big one - England v South Africa.
    • 80' Pumas are enjoying a storming finish to this World Cup. Hernandez chips over and forces a Pumas scrum 5m from France try line. Is there time for one more try?
    • 79' Leguizamon breaks free again, Agulla can't take pass cleanly and France back to tackle him into touch.
    • 78' Contepomi converts his own try for a personal haul of 19 points and Pumas lead 34-10. Who would have thought it?
    • 77' Manuel Contepomi makes a superb break, Leguizamon shows great support, Hernandez is held just short but the ball is recycled and Contepomi goes over for his second. Wonderful try! 32-10.
    • 76' France again attack down the left but the Pumas defence is superb and they scramble back to force turnover. Well played the South Americans!
    • 75' Pichot off and Miranda on.
    • 74' Try-scorer Corleto off with calf injury and Todeschini on.
    • 72' Poitrenaud keeps ball alive and tries to launch counter. Beauxis makes ground down the right and finds Dominici. Martin ignores an overlap, Nyanga almost breaks clear but Pumas defence holds firm. Skrela puts over cross kick but ball bounces into touch. Relief for the Pumas who were severely tested! 22 drop out Pumas.
    • 70' Nice kick from replacement Beauxis makes it 27-10.
    • 67' Big scrum from France but it's all a little too late? Harinordoquy makes good ground, Chabal keeps move going and Poitrenaud finally goes over for their first try. 27-8.
    • 65' France have their tails up now but the Pumas turnover in their own 22m area, Contepomi feeds Agulla and he feeds Corleto who goes 80m to score in the corner. Superb effort from the Pumas - great try. 27-3.
    • 62' Mignoni comes on for Elissalde.
    • 62' Chabal is down after making charge from base of lineout. He's up again but Leguizamon is in trouble for a late tackle! Yellow for Leguizamon and France now have an extra man.
    • 61' Chabal on for Thion and he gets huge cheer from the Stade crowd.
    • 57' France looking a bit clueless at the moment. Not sure what their game plan is but they don't seem to have a leader. Ibanez never came back on after his yellow card and it will be interesting to see who provides the leadership. Who will be the focal point for France?
    • 56' Pumas now happy to slow ball down and control it through their forwards. Expect Hernandez to kick deep and wait for France to run at them from deep. Poitrenaud tried just that but was caught by Hernandez in his 22 and Pumas get scrum down.
    • 53' Superb break out of defence by Corleto, who stretches the France defence. The ball is then switched across field for Arambaru to go over in the right corner. Fabulous try. 22-3. Well played Pumas! Pretty feeble tackle at the end by Michalak
    • 49' Skrela knocks on in mifield and Hernandez clears. Poitrenaud takes a quick throw and again counters. Hernandez kicks deep and Rougerie tries to break out of defence, only for wall of Pumas tacklers to hold him up!
    • 48' Lovely break out of defence by Poitrenaud and France win lineout on Pumas 22m line.
    • 46' Rougerie tries to counter from deep but Punmas turnover and Agulla kicks upfield deep into France 22m area. Great play from Contepomi to pinch ball from Elissalde.
    • 43' France immediately go on the attack and win lineout deep in Pumas half. But they knock on at base of scrum soon after and Hernandez kicks up field.
    • 41' Hernandez gets the second half started with both teams down to 14 men!
    • 40' Ref shows two yellows. Alvarez for offside and Ibanez for a kick after the whistle had gone. Pumas kick for touch and ref blows for half-time. Pumas will be delighted to have held out at the end there, while the ref will be glad for a cooling off period for the players. 17-3 Argentina at half-time. I think we are in for a fiery second half!
    • 40' Last chance for France before the break. Again they tap and again they try score through their forwards. But no way through and France spread it. Skrela is well held in midfield and when ball comes back Pumas concede another penalty for offside!
    • 40' Again France take a tap and try to smash their way over. Pumas again penalised for dropping the maul. And yet another dust up! I think we know how much the players care about this game now!
    • 40' France forwards battering Argentina's try line. Nyanga again peels off and is held up just short. Another penalty to France!
    • 38' Pumas again penalised and Michalak takes a quick tap but is hauled down five metres from try-line. Tempers flare again! France awarded another penalty.
    • 37' Lovely take by Thion and France get driving maul underway. Pumas are wilting and Nyanga peels off. Ball goes wide to Dominic but Pumas defence scrambles well.
    • 35' Pumas penalised for hig tackle. A lot of niggle going on, most of it involving Elissalde, who appears to have lost it! France kick for the corner in a bid to get another score before half-time.
    • 34' France scrum put under pressure and Argentina win the put in. Lovely scrum from the Pumas.
    • 32' Simple kick for Contepomi makes it 17-3. What can France do to respond?
    • 31' But Argentina manage turnover from the rebound and their forwards drive over! Did Hasan get the ball down? Ref Paul Honiss goes upstairs and the try is awarded. France are stunned as they go 15-3 down!
    • 30' France go over the top of Pumas kick for corner from the penalty. Their forwards take line-out cleanly and start to pressure the French pack. Ball is recycled to Hernandez whose drop goal hits the post!
    • 29' Contepomi converts his own try to move Pumas 10-3 ahead!
    • 27' Pumas clear the danger and their forwards drive into France half. Contepomi brothers make space in midfield, the ball is recycled and Pichot sees space on the blind and feeds Felipe Contepomi who goes over in the left corner. Lovely try. 8-3. Stade de France has gone all quiet - again!
    • 25' Nyanga charges down and France have lineout five metres from Pumas line. Pumas whistled for taking the man out in the air and France again kick for the corner. Dusautoir takes clean catch at the tail and France try to drive Pumas back. But Pumas defence is good so Michalak kicks across field for Rougerie, but he knocks on as he goes for ball with Corleto.
    • 23' France again go over but once again the pass is forward. Harinordoquy holds on for too long and forces Ibanez to give a forward pass to Nyanga! Wasted chance from France as they had plenty of men over!
    • 22' France regather an awkward up and under from Harinordoquy. Michalak then puts one up, Coelto makes a mess of it and Dusautoir is on him in a flash!
    • 19' Pumas trying to slow things down now, picking and driving through their forwards the way they like it. Contepomi tries to set up in midfield but strong France defence slows ball down. Pumas finally awarded penalty for Thion playing the ball on the ground. Contepomi makes no mistake to level scores at 3-3 with simple penalty goal.
    • 16' Ball is given to Michalak and he is nailed after cutting back inside. Pumas try to break out of defence but they spill the ball after a lovely tackle by Skrela and allow France to launch a counter through Rougerie. Pumas penalised for tackling man off the ball and Elissalde makes it 3-0.
    • 15' France get lineout deep in Pumas 22m area. They attempt a quick throw but it's from the wrong mark. Second throw is taken cleanly and they set up a drive to within a few metres of Pumas line.
    • 13' Nice catch by Poitrenaud and France launch another attack. This is the France we all know and....love?
    • 12' Another spat between the forwards. Roncero and Dusautoir this time. Shows how much the teams care!
    • 11' Lovely break from Nyanga, who bursts into Pumas' half, but Harinordoquy's pass to Rougerie is forward and the French are called back from what was a certain try!
    • 9' Lovely catch by Agulla off a Dominici high-ball, and Hernandez finds a huge touch deep in the French half.
    • 7' France enjoying a good passage of attacking rugby but they have yet to break the gain line. But Dominici finally gets through, feeds Nyanga who finds Marty, who is held up just short. Nice play from France!
    • 5' Nice touch finder by Pichot. The Pumas will probably play their usual tight, forward focused game since that's the only way they know how. But they have some great runners in Hernandez and Corleto so maybe we'll see something special from them?
    • 4' Dominici held in midfield. Pumas defence has been pretty aggressive so far!
    • 3' Bit of a dust up between Albacete and Harinordoquy shows just what this game means to the players!
    • 1' France win their throw and spread it wide immediately. I think we now know how they are going to play this game!
    • 1' Michalak gets the game started and Pumas forwards take the ctach cleanly and Hernandez clears for touch.
    • - Argentina are also bidding farewell to their coach Marcelo Lofredda, who is off to Leicester next month. Lofredda has named his strongest side and his players will want to give him a fitting send off for all he has done for Argentina rugby down the years.
    • - France coach Bernard Laporte has made eight changes to the side that lost to England in the semi-final last weekend, and his selections point towards a more open running game, in true French tradition. Clement Poitrenaud is at full-back and Frederic Michalak at fly-half, so expect the unexpected. It is Bernard Laporte's final game in charge and the French players look set to revert to type!
    • - There is an end-of-term feeling about this game though France will want to finish on a high and gain revenage for their loss to the Pumas in the opening game of the tournament. The Pumas, meanwhile, will want to prove once again that their earlier victory was not a one-off. It promises to be a cracker!
