    • 80' Italy pinch the ball at a ruck and ref blows for full time. Italy will be relieved to have got away with a win from this at times brutal game. Well done Romania. Great effort from their forwards! 24-18.
    • 79' Big scrum from Romania but ref resets the scrum and this time Italty hold firm and find an excellent touch in Romania half. Last chance for Romania.
    • 77' Italy clear the danger and Masi chases and collects kick ahead. Well played the Italy wing. Italy forwards holding on to the ball now and trying to run down the clock. But big tackle on Masi and Romania win the ball and spread it wide. Good tackle Italy defence as they force knock on!! Great finish to the game. Scrum down Italy just inside their 22m area.
    • 75' Huge clearance from Dumitras moves Romania deep in Italy half. Can they pinch the throw and launch an attack? No, as Italy win their line-out but their forwards are going no where and Pez slices his clearance. Line out Romania on the Italy 22m line.
    • 72' Now it's Romania's turn for a penalty as Italy whistled for hanging on. Dimofte makes it 24-18 and again Romania are just one score behind. There's life in them yet with just under seven minutes to go!
    • 71' Ref has just reversed a penalty initially awarded to Romania for Socol's reaction. Again looked a tad harsh and Socol lets him know his thoughts on the matter. Pez punishes the error and make it 24-15 to give Italy a little breathing space. Big decision from the ref and not sure it's the right one!

Great chance here for the Romanians, who take the lineout and start to move towards the Italy line. They're over but it looks like the ball has been held up. What does the video ref say? Look like a try to me and yes the ref has awarded it to manta. Great start to the second half for Romania. 8-5.
    • 41' Welcome back and Romania start the second half but straight away concede a penalty for coming in at the side of the ruck. But Italy miss their touch and allow Dumitras to launch a counter attak.
    • 40' Concerted pressure from Romania now but they kick the ball aimlessly away and the ref blows for half-time. A scrappy first half and Italy coach Pierre Berbizier will not be happy with his side's performance. Expect an improved effort from Italy in the second half. 8-0.

    • 17' Romania need to play the game in Italy's half but they're having difficulty securing possession. Italy now marching down field with a rolling maul before Pez chips over. But ref calls them back for offside and Italy kick for the corner to set up another excellent scoring opportunity.
    • 12' Penalty to Italy for Romania diving over. Good chance for Bortolussi to extend their lead, which he does to 8-0.
    • 11' Chip through by Pez but Dumitras takes the mark and makes a huge touch clearance.
    • 8' All of the Romanian side play their rugby in France so they know what they are doing and should be able to at least give the Italians a good game. But they'll want to forget that opening!
