    • 67' Portugal clear the danger after nice pick and drive from Uva.
    • 65' Scotland pressing and win penalty after Portuguese collapse maul. Paterson kicks for line-out and Scots again go for a drive but they are held up over the line.

    • 59' Taylor makes a burst and opens up Portugal before finding Webster with a switch pass, who passes to Southwell and puts him over in the corner. 40-10.
    • 59' Portugal work an overlap but Carvalho spills the pass!
    • 58' Parks off and Paterson on.
    • 58' Parks on target again and makes it 35-10. Will the flood gates now open?
    • 57' Parks kicks cross field again and finds Dewey but he's held up before the ball is recycled and this time Parks strolls over. 33-10.
    • 55' Still Portugal pressing. This has been a superb effort from the minnows in the second half and only a knock-on from Pinto breaks up their attack.
    • 52' Southwell on for Di Rollo, who's had a shocker. Rory Lamont will go to wing, Southwell full-back and Webster centre.
    • 50' Portugal doing well to retain possession and take the game to Scotland. It's professionals v amateurs but you'd never know, except for Scotland's tight jerseys!
    • 47' Scotland have not made a good start to the second half. They're handling has been very shabby. They're a man up but it's the Portguese who seem to be growing in confidence. Uva is now back on.
    • 46' Scots win line-out and drive towards Portgual line but ref blows for crossing and awards penalty to Portugal.
    • 45' Rory Lamont make another jinking break and Portugal intercept and run the whole length of the park. Carvalho thinks he's scored but the ref pulls him back for offside. Not a popular decision!
    • 43' Nice kick from Parks moves Scotland deep in Portugal's half. The Scottish number 10 has been very accurate this afternoon.
    • 41' Parks restarts the match for Scotland who will be looking to put Portugal to the sword in this half. The Portuguese are a man down and the Scots will expect to take advantage.
    • 40' Scotland go over but ref goes to the man upstairs who rules that Murray dropped the ball. No try and half-time. Good effort form Portugal who seem to be growing in confidence and getting more used to the pace of the game. 28-10 is not what Scotland wanted or expected at half-time!
    • 39' And another penalty for Scotland. Ref this time hands out a yellow to Uva as Scotland take a tap and drive.
    • 39' Portugal concede two penalties in quick succession and Scotland kick for the corner. They'll be keen to get one more score on the board before half-time.
    • 38' Big bomb from Pinto is well taken by Rory Lamont.
    • 37' This time Scots scrum collapses and Portgual are able to clear the danger. Good work from their forwards.
    • 36' Kerr is on for Jacobsen who looks to have a leg injury.
    • 35' Scotland are pounding Portugal's line and win another penalty five metres out for handling in the ruck. Hooker Cordeiro is down but looks ok. Scots opt for a scrum and win another penalty. Again they go for the scrum.
    • 33' Portugal win a penalty and Pinto slots a beautiful three-pointer. 28-10.
    • 31' Parks makes it 28-7 and keeps his 100 per cent kicking record.
    • 30' But right from the kick off Scotland score through Dewey. Mmmm.....think Portugal might have been caught napping and celebrating their try a tad too much! 26-7.
    • 29' Pinto adds the two points 21-7.
    • 26' Portugal finally have some field position and press the Scotland line. Nice handling in their backs allows Leal some room and they win a penalty. It's taken quickly but they're held up on the Scots line. But the ball is recycled and wing Carvalho finally goes over for Portugal's first ever World Cup try. Superb effort from the minnows! 21-5.
    • 25' Parks certainly has his radar working as he slots the touch-line conversion. 21-0.
    • 21' Looks like there's a yellow card for Portgual as Scotland continue to attack. Lovely cross-field kick from Parks and hooker Lawson takes a beautiful catch for Scotland's third try. 19-0.
    • 21' Lock Murray goes for a gallop but is hauled down. Scrum to Scotland in Portgual's 22m area. Few of the Portuguese players are down but I suspect they're mostly taking a tactical break.
    • 18' Can't remember last time Portugal touched the ball but they have it now, only to give away penalty for not releasing in the tackle. Parks kicks Scotland into Portugal 22m area.
    • 16' Lovely kick from Parks makes it 14-0. Looks like it could be a long, long evening for Portugal!!
    • 15' Scotland again ship it wide and Rory Lamont sprints clear down the right wing for his and Scotland's second try. 12-0

    • 7' Not surprisingly it's all Scotland at the moment but Portugal are tackling for all their worth and keeping them out - just. But for how much longer? Scotland will be determined to run up a big score this evening and get their World Cup off to a flying start.
    • 6' Nice break from Sean Lamont but Portugal haul him down and eventually clear their lines.
    • 3' Scotland pressure Portugal's line but they knock on and it s 22m drop out.
    • 2' Early penalty for the Scots as Portugal handle on the ground and Parks kicks for the corner.
    • 1' Portugal get the game underway and Scotland straight away kick for touch and relieve the pressure. Not too much is known about the Portguguese and it will be interesting to see what they have to offer.
    • - It's a pleasant evening in St Etienne as Scotland prepare to launch their World Cup campagin against the minnows of Portugal.
