  5. 3-2 - A superb return on a second serve from Ferrero leads to a break point...and when Nalbandian dumps a shoddy backhand into the net, the Spaniard claims it!

  6. 2-2 - A fine unreturnable serve from Ferrero keeps things level at 2-2; Nalbandian just looks a little disheartened that he couldn't get a break there.

  7. 2-1 - Nalbandian has definitely woken up, but is it too late to rescue this match? Ferrero needs to stay in it until the death in this third set to keep the pressure on.

  8. 1-1 - Ferrero is determined not to let this slip; he holds, although Nalbandian has certainly picked his game up.

  9. 1-0 - Nalbandian holds to get on the scoreboard first in the crucial third set; there's no way he can afford to go a break down in this one.

  15. 3-1 - Ferrero is made to work harder here than he has at any point in the opening 10 games...but more big serves manage to get him out of trouble. I have never seen the Spaniard serve as well as this.

  16. 2-1 - A litte more like it? Nalbandian closes out just his second game of the match with an ace down the T.

  17. 2-0 - Ferrero pounds down another ace to hold to 14; the 22nd seed has his foot on the throat of Nalbandian at the moment - can he grind it down and go for the kill?

  18. 1-0 - Ferrero breaks again at the start of the second set...the Spaniard has been on fire at the start of this match. He has played really well, barely made a mistake.

  19. 6-1 - Another ace from the Spaniard moves him to three set-points...completed with another ace down the middle, completing three love games and the first set.

  20. 5-1 - Ferrero completes eight straight points, breaking Nalbandian to love to move to within a game of the opening set. The South American must have got out of bed the wrong side this morning...

  22. 3-1 - Nalbandian doesn't look in a good mood at the moment; he finally gets on the scoreboard with a comfortable hold, helped by a couple of big first serves.

  24. 2-0 - A couple of mistakes on the forehand from Nalbandian take his opening service game to deuce...and Ferrero breaks when the Argentine fires long.
