Thanks for following our LIVE coverage and join us next week for the Miami Masters!!
40-15 - Djokovic fires another massive ace out wide, his tenth of the final, to set up TRIPLE CHAMPIONSHIP POINT..... Fish saves the first....
5-3 - Some huge first serves allow Fish to blast ahead 40-0 as we reach the two-hour mark, much to the delight of the crowd. And Mardy pulls out the LOVE-Service game to force the Serbian to serve out for the title.
5-2 - Djokovic moves within one game of the title, holding to 30.
4-2 - Another hold for Fish, who puts the onus on Djokovic to keep going forward on his serve.
4-1 - Another comfortable serve for Novak Djokovic, who is perfectly capable of putting this match out of reach on this upcoming Fish serve.
3-1 - Fish gets on the board in this final set with his own quick-and-easy service hold, though I doubt that will dent Djokovic's progress..... We have seen Fish resurrect himself before during this tournament though.
3-0 - Djokovic stares down his rival and watches a service winner ruled in by Hawk-Eye to hold comfortably.
2-0 - Djokovic now earns himself a pair of BREAK POINTS and he shows Fish how it's done, wrapping up the break of serve on his first chance with a brutal backhand winner down the line. We've said it before, but that could be the ballgame.
1-0 - And a massive service hold by the third seed, who stops Fish's momentum dead in its track to take a 1-0 lead in the third set.
40-40 - Fish wins three quick-fire points on his rival's serve to snag a TRIPLE BREAK POINT.... Djokovic saves the first with an ace out wide.... And the second with another ace out wide..... And a third with a third straight ace out wide!!! From 0-40 down, Djokovic is back to DEUCE.
5-7 - A service winner out wide earns Fish a SET POINT and then confirms the second set with another massive first-serve!! What a comeback thus far..... We're headed for the third-set decider.
5-6 -
There's live in the boy yet!! Mardy Fish rips a gorgeous winner on the return of serve to break Novak Djokovic yet again and will now serve for the second set!!
5-5 - A nervy hold to 30 for Fish.
5-4 - Djokovic pulls out his own LOVE-Service hold and moves within one game of the title....
4-4 - Fish holds to 15, and he refuses to lie down....
4-3 - Some brilliant returns of serve earn Fish his own DOUBLE BREAK POINT, and Djokovic gives away his advantage with a first double fault of the match. Back on serve in this second set at 4-3.
4-2 - Fish battles for 0-30 down to 30-30, but Djokovic still earns a chance to BREAK.... And does so, as Fish sends the forehand error long. That could be all she wrote for the American.
3-2 - Djokovic certainly not budging either, as the Oz Open champ wraps up a LOVE-Service game with an ace out wide.
2-2 - Sweet serve-and-volley action earns Fish a hold to 15.
2-1 - Djokovic ultimately holds, but again it was close.
40-40 - These baseline rallies are really getting good, and Fish ultimately beats Djokovic with a gorgeous cross-court backhand pass that earns not-so begrudging applause from the world number three. DEUCE.
1-1 - Fish comes through an important hold to DEUCE in the end, however, and that effectively keeps this match alive.
40-40 - Djokovic fights back from 40-15 to DEUCE on Fish's serve, as the American is just succumbing to the pressure by hitting error-after-error.
1-0 - Djokovic with a commanding hold to 15 opens up the second set in imposing form.
6-2 - Djokovic proves why he is quite possibly the best player in the world right now, hammering a pair of meek serves for forehand and backhand winners on the returns of serve to break Fish and take the first set 6-2.
5-2 - Djokovic stretches his lead with a nervy hold to DEUCE, as Fish will now have to serve to stay in the set.
4-2 -
Fish double faults to give Djokovic a second chance to claim the lead, and then doubles again to give back the break advantage!
40-40 - Fish is once again striking the ball with venom, and he saves a BREAK POINT as Djokovic sends a big two-handed backhand well long. DEUCE.
3-2 - The world number 98 Fish, all of a sudden, in stunning form, earns himself a chance to break.... And does so with a brutal forehand on the return that Djokovic can only lunge at and send into the net. Back on serve at 2-3 and we're starting to see the match we were hoping for.
3-1 - Fish finally gets on the scoreboard with a LOVE-Service game, and that's the quality he was showing yesterday in a complete demolition of the world's best player Roger Federer.
3-0 - A little bit trickier for Djokovic this time, but the Australian Open champion still holds to 30.
2-0 - After falling behind 0-30 Fish finally wins his first point with a service winner. The Serbian still manages to book a double BREAK POINT and collect on the first, as Fish is looking very nervous against the world number three early on.
1-0 - N-Djok opens us up with a LOVE-Service game. This could be quick and painful for the man who stunned Roger Federer yesterday, Mardy Fish.
0-0 -
And Novak Djokovic serves first on a sunny day then in California.
