8-8 - This match has become quite an epic. A confident exhibition of serving from Dechy.

7-7 - The 29-year-old is going nowhere.

6-6 - An ace from Dechy wins the game! Both players have now survived two match points each.

40-40 - Saved by Dechy!

6-5 - The umpire rules that a point (which Dechy had won)has to replayed when the Frenchwoman's headgear falls off. This seems to put Dechy off her stride (who chooses to remove her cap thereafter) and Ivanovic takes advantage to break.

15-0 - Ace for Dechy. It went straight through Ivanovic - surely she should have made the return!

0-40 - Ivanovic is rushing her shots and yet another break looms....

0-15 - The best point of the match! Dechy's shot would have been a winner in normal circumstances but Ivanovic gives chase and throws herself at the ball from the baseline - it shoots up the line at fenomenal speed. Dechy is powerless to stop it.

4-2 - Ivanovic takes control of this set! She does ever so well to fight back from two points down. She finally converts on her third break point of the game. Is this the beginning of the end for Dechy!

3-2 - Dechy goes close with a break point, Ivanovic wakes up and responds with an ace. Dechy flatly finds the net to surrender the game.

2-1 - Ivanovic makes a better effort on her serve and this time her opponent never gets a chance to break.

1-0 - The pattern of the second set continues with the manditory break point saved. Ivanovic keeps her head and Dechy is not giving up on anything. Don't be surprised if we see the pair exchange breaks in this set.

7-6 - Ivanovic takes the set winning the tie-break 7-3! Can she motor on from here and finish off her opponent in the final set?

TB2-1 - A break each leaves the tie-break finely poised in the early stages.

5-6 - Another break point saved. Dechy has shown some battling qualities and as she holds she raises her fist in celebration.

40-40 - She saves one and unbelievably staves off the second when her return hits the net cord and luckily goes over to land on Dechy's side of the court. Heart-stopping stuff!

4-5 - Ivanovic is beginning to take up good positions and find spaces for passing shots but at the critical moment she can't break Dechy, who is also playing intelligently from the baseline.

3-4 - A big first save saves Dechy at break point. Perhaps the nerves are creeping in for the Frenchwoman. Nevertheless, a hold on serve means Ivanovic's nerves will be put to the test next.

0-40 - Just when you thought Ivanovic had turned a corner, she is down by three break points. There is further drama when she thinks Dechy hits out by a challenge with Hawkeye proves otherwise and the point must be replayed...

3-1 - More of a swagger to Ivanovic. The confidence has grown and it shows with her shot-making. Dechy could only watch and admire a stunning cross-court return.

1-1 - You can still sense some hesitancy on the Ivanovic serve, but she will be relieved to come through a reasonably comfortable game.

6-7 - Ivanovic is again paying for a poor rate of first serves in. She tries to make ammends with an ace but the damage is already done and she hits a shot woefully long for Dechy to take the tie-break 2-7 and the first set. We could have an upset on our hands!

6-6 - Ivanovic tries to avoid the tie-break, winning one point with a clever forehand volley at the net, but Dechy keeps her nerve to win.

5-5 - A challenge on a point by Ivanovic saves her from losing the game when the official review shows the ball hit the extreme of the baseline. But Dechy keeps turning the screw through deuce and eventually holds when Ivanovic errors.

5-3 - Dechy holds but Ivanovic twice fools on her forehand by feining the direction that she will hit the ball. She will need to be weary of that trick in the future.

5-2 - Ivanovic speeds through this game. The serve has improved and Dechy is reduced to sticking out her racket at the ball when it comes over in the hope of sending it back across.

3-2 - Nervous moments for Ivanovic. She is struggling with her first serve and is put under enormous pressure on her second serve - narrowing saving three breaks. A fourth break point is too much to bear as she hits the net. Well done Dechy and it's game on!

3-0 - Ivanovic makes sure she follows up her break with a solid service game. Some short rallys but Ivanovic was always in control.

1-0 - Good start from the Serbian. A couple of accurate forehands to the baseline and an ace are included in her repertoire.

----- - The World number one is also very modest. She has recently said that she is flattered by the attention she gets from male spectators but tries not to pay too much attention to it. She does have ambitions on owning a pet Labrador though... where did I leave the Yellow Pages?

----- - As the two players warm up, let's mention that Dechy's best at SW18 is reaching the fourth round twice in 1999 and 2005. She is more well-known for three Grand Slams in doubles and mixed doubles rather than her individual play.
